Mo Fish

We love Mo Fish and eat here pretty often, but lately, the portion size has not been worth the money!!! Last night, we only ordered catfish & walleye. We got 6 very slim pieces of fish for $28.00!!!The pieces were tiny compared to when we first started going here. We get inflation and all that and really have no problem paying for great fish; however, we'd also like to get what we paid for!Mo Fish, you guys need to do better, or we will have to find another spot that won't cut our fillets in half or smaller and then charge us an outrageous cost. You have a loyal customer base, especially since Joe Tess Place closed. Please don't mistreat/mishandle us/these folks!!! The 2 stars are due to quantity, not quality. The fish is amazing.

Food is always great here. My husband and i always stopped at this restaurant everytime we visited his home town in IA.

Came with 3 other people and e all ordered the same meal, so I can only describe the catfish dinner. I am on the fence about my rating, I would like to give it 3 1/2 stars, but the service was excellent so that pushed them to 4. The catfish was cooked perfectly and awesomely crispy, I do enjoy my crispy fish, but the flavor was good, not great, it could have had a little more seasoning IMHO. The fries were great, crispy, nicely browned and fresh as was the fish. The Cole slaw was a total meh. If you order a drink, either order no ice or light ice because after you finished your drink, you had more than half a cup of ice left. They had 2 hot sauces, one from a store and one they make themselves, I definitely suggest you opt for the house sauce, it was awesome. If you've ever had Crystal hot sauce, it was like that but better. It is no frills, drinks in styrofoam cups, packaged plastic ware and food served in a basket, I had no problem with that. It was eclecticly decorated with a fish theme which is way cute and the restaurant was clean and didn't smell like fish grease. I was going to order fried pickles, but $9.99 was a bit much, but the meal itself was on the high end of on par with other fish places I've been to my dinner was $15.99 I had 4 pieces of decent sized filets and fair helping of fries and a styrofoam 6 oz cup of cole slaw. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Will I go there again? YES

Good food. Attentive and friendly service. I tried the fried catfish sandwich with fries and it was pretty good. It's mildly seasoned and there's not a ton of breading. I didn't eat much of the bun because I decided against the sandwich and the fish was good without it. We also tried the fried okra and that was good as well. The Cycling Frog "social" beverages were really good. We tried the black currant and wild cherry flavors. Both were good, but I liked black currant the best. We did feel a nice little buzz from these so something to keep in mind. This was my first visit. They have ample seating and the dining area is clean. The food and service are good - we'll be back soon.

My Nephew took me to this place and before we got there he said Uncle Let me tell you this place is so good. People this is a must stop if your ever in Counsel Bluff Iowa. Stay out of Omaha Nebraska for real I can't wait to get back to this place this Summer. I had the Alaskan Walleye Frog Legs and Okra. Awesome staff can't wait to get MO FISH MO FISH MO FISH.

Great catfish filets. Great carp. Side of beans were actually pretty good. Great service. Charming atmosphere. Packed place for Saturday lunch. It's cash only folks, so beware. Not many places like this in the metro area these days. It's a bit of a drive from Omaha but worth every mile. Next time, will try the walleye.

This is not where you'll come if you're wearing a tux, and your date donned a formal gown. Wear a sweatshirt and jeans. I'm not sure how a restaurant in Council Bluffs - in the middle of the country - manages to have fantastic seafood, but Mo Fish does. I'd give it 5-stars if the portions were a little bigger, but this is a solid place to eat!

Been hankering for some catfish and Mo's is always the referred when I bring up this craving. So figured why not try. Came right after opening just to see the sign on the door that they only accept cash. Went to my personal banks ATM because I'm cheap and don't wanna pay fees obviously relatable to the business lol. When we got back a few minutes later; one kid ordered his comfort chicken planks, the other tried frog legs, and I got the 1/2lb catfish. The cheese curds that my son got with the frog leg were delicious. The frog legs were a first for my kid and I tried a bite as well. Definitely not my forte; had watery after taste like fish tank in my opinion. The portion of the baked beans is a small cup just a tad larger than the cup the sauce comes out in. They were yum.The catfish that was the main point of the visit was thick and appropriate for the cost. I didn't taste much seasoning so it did end up doused in the red devil available at the table. Overall it was good. Would stop again.

Ummmmm YUMMMMMMMMMM thats all!!!Just kidding. Love this place whether it's take out or dine in, the food is amazing and service is always nice. We come here as often as we can and fill up on our fish cravings

Gluten free heaven! The fish breading is gluten free! I haven't had delicious carp or catfish in years until today! Just like I remembered! My hubby had the pork tenderloin sandwich and said it was also delicious!
