Surprised in how modern the exhibits are and interactive! It is 2 stories and a basement as well as trails with great views. You can tell a-lot of effort went into preserving & creating the environment if engaged learning. Definitely worth a stop and lots for kids to do. Like all National park sites do t forget to get your Passport stamp and do the Junior Tanger program! There is an entry fee

This place is a semi hidden gem. The to scale keelboat is a fantastic thing to explore. The kids exploration spaces are great as well. Many exhibits are in braille which is very commendable for people who need that.

Two adults and three children got in for $25 on the family deal. Our kids range from 7-10years old. The lady who helped us purchase tickets, check out our souvenirs, and told us the best places for us to check out along with age appropriate trails was wonderful to work with and very patient when my daughter wouldn't quit asking questions before we had begun and as she was indecisive checking out. There were a lot of interactive features for the kids to do. I loved reading the messages of discoveries in the post stamp room. I believe my husbands favorite part was seeing so many furs and replicas or artifacts.

Very nice, well-labeled grounds, perfect for a leisurely evening walk. An interesting replica of a keelboat, like the one Lewis and Clark used. Beautiful building with exhibits that detail the flora, fauna, and historic significance of this area. I very much enjoy coming here!

We happened upon the Lewis and Clark Center on our way out of Nebraska City and we're so glad we did! What a great facility, it is reasonably priced and offers so many interactive exhibits. Our kids loved the wildlife exhibits (especially the bear) as well as the boats (outside and in the museum). Don't miss the earth lodge and the hiking trails outside. I highly recommend stopping in especially if your kids are talking about Lewis and Clark in school at the time, it will really help them to get excited about Nebraska history.

The MRB-Lewis & Clark Center is absolutely amazing. It cost my family (3 adults and 1 child) $20.00 for the fee, which is well worth it considering all the information, exhibits, hands on activities and trails you can do during your visit. You are able to see the time and commitment that went into the creation and organization of this center. The exhibits are well thought out and provide lots of information. The upstairs exhibits are amazing, my daughter throughly enjoyed those exhibits. The two ladies working were very kind and answered all of our questions we had. There is a small bookstore attached. My daughter and father really enjoyed the boat exhibit where they tried to steer ship. Lets just say if we had to depend on my daughter to steer a boat down the Missouri, we wouldn't get very far. I enjoyed the trails through the woods. It was nice to have a little stroll through the woods. The Earth Lodge was really neat for me to see. I didn't think they would be that large. My only complaint was during the trails, one of the trails wasn't marked very well (I would assume as well marked as everything else was the sign was missing for some reason) and would have caused slight confusion if you didn't have a map with you. I would recommend this center to anyone. It was a great experience for my family and I. We spent nearly 2 hours there looking at exhibits, going on the trails and watching the short film.

We visited this museum by chance on a drive across country. The clear signs on the highway are very helpful and drew us in. It is a beautiful building in a stunning setting. We are older adults and enjoyed this stop thoroughly. Kids will get even more out of the museum than we did as it has gobs of interactive displays and exhibits that bring history to life. The staff is knowledgeable, and friendly. The two on duty 4/19 were exceptionally patient. I learned some new things and picked up a great book to learn even more. They have a small but nicely stocked gift shop. Definitely make an effort to visit.
