Brought my mom's vintage Pfaff sewing machine in forService. Took a bit to unfreeze the gears and get the decorative stitching to work - but it is in great shape now. Great communication along the way. Would absolutely recommend.

I just love this place. As a person who should have listened when my mother and her friends and my grandmothers and everyone tried to teach me how to sew when O was young, I am grateful for this business. My questions about the proper presser feet to buy are answered graciously. And it is cool to see their "museum". I am just sad that I know longer work in Gretna because it's a little more difficult to stop by and spend my money. The last time I was there I got to see the new room were we can rent time on a machine or they can teach us how to use our new machines. I can't wait to go back.

Ordered a part online to be shipped to another address. Shipment was never received. When I called to inquire, I was told that in the fine print, under the terms and conditions, that shipments are sent to the billing address. Their reasoning is to prevent fraud. If so, then their website should not allow the customer to complete the shipping address section. Told there was nothing they could do. I didn't even get an apology or let's see if there is something we can do. Well, I guess committing fraud to the customer is acceptable!

I wish I lived closer to this place, they have been so very helpful, needed my Babylock repaired, sewing centers are so far away, so I try to clean it and repair it myself, bobbin casing needed replacing, I had gotten one from Amazon,it didn't last long, the one I received today fit perfectly and seems to be stronger, then while I was cleaning it I had lost the medal disc that holds the bobbin casing down, called Millard's they set me up with a replacement. All we have here is Singer sewing center and they don't touch Babylock machines, I had gotten my machine about 10 years ago in Colorado, it was easy to find a Babylock center there, but since we have gotten back home nothing here. Thank you for being such kind people

I received excellent trade-in value to buy my new machine. I think their prices on many items, including machine cases and bags is very fair and reasonable.I will definitely shop here again.

My Personal Opinion is Walk on By. This place not worth the potential trouble.I purchased a vintage sewing machine from Millard Sewing Center in Omaha because they claim that all machines are thoroughly serviced, cleaned and "adjusted back to spec" . Prices at Millard for vintage machines are substantially higher than elsewhere, but I was reassured that the machine would be in good working order.Upon receipt of the machine I noticed the bobbin thread was stuck in the case; and I was unable to remove it. This minor issue temporarily resolved over the phone with someone; but the fix lasted only a few hours, because the machine needed a repair. In addition the bobbin winder would not work.A couple of days after, the stitches began to "bird nest"; and the tension dial was stuck at 4 and would not advance beyond that point. I emailed them advising of the issues and requested permission for me to take the machine to a local repair shop and requested reimbursement for doing so. Nearly three weeks passed without a reply. I then took the machine to local repair. There were several problems one being that the spring in the tension dial was warped. My local repair adjusted it but did not replace it (as Millard should have replaced it before selling it to me) My repair shop also adjusted the bobbin winder and cleaned the machine (which had not been properly cleaned prior to sale). I was charged $38.11. I emailed the receipt to Millard and requested reimbursement for the repair. The next day I finally received an email stating that they do not reimburse and I was informed I would have to return the machine to Millard in Omaha for repair. Sending the machine back to Omaha and back would cost me at least $100 since I am in NY. That did not make sense to me being the repair was only $38. But that is their policy. I have not received a postage free return label that I requested from him. This company, Millard Sew did not try to work with me even though they sent me a machine that had not been completely cleaned nor properly serviced by them as they had claimed it had. They refused to answer my emails suggesting repair options. The machine had defective parts and parts with part numbers that were for different machines. Under the hand wheel was packed with old black grease. The experience with them was negative. They attempted to but did not succeed in bullying me into accepting their customer unfriendly and questionable terms. The Law is: "although the express warranty may require you to pay for shipping, you should expect to get what you paid for without paying additional costs. If neither the retailer nor manufacturer will make good, you might be able to cancel the sale under the implied warranty of merchantability. Again, this is where a chargeback or the threat of legal action might help. You should know If you have a full warranty instead of a limited one, you cannot be charged for shipping or reinstallation. And a full warranty cannot be limited to the first purchaser of the product. "The bank ruled in my favor. I received a full credit card refund which included shipping costs and repair.
