My daughter attended Millard Childcare the past three years and has absolutely loved it. She has always had a hard time transitioning after summer, with me being a school counselor, and they made this happen in a less painful way for her and myself. She has loved every teacher she had, each one being special to her. She talks about her friends all the time. The amount she has learned here is amazing and she is more then ready to tackle the next stage of her learning. It has been such a great experience for her!

This childcare is a joke, at best. As a childcare provider, I know the things you can do to ease the adjustment for a child and this place failed miserably. DO NOT place your child in their care. It is about the all mighty dollar and NOT the well being of your child. The teachers are non-responsive, they jumped to attention when I came to take my grandson. They are inexperienced, non-sympathetic and uneducated. The room that my grandson was "confined" to was entirely too small, with not enough toys to keep a child engaged. There are not enough words/expressions on how poorly this place is run, though if you look at it from the outside, it appears to be okay. Save yourself AND YOUR SWEET PRECIOUS ONE a great deal of agony and find another center or an in-home childcare. This place is not good.

Currently (2017) my almost 5 months old attends Milliard Childcare and Preschool. I am absolutely assured that my baby is in the best hands possible. The Brightwheel app is constantly updated with pictures, videos, when she's gone to the bathroom, how much she's eaten, and naps. I also get full on details about how she is in terms of mood. The daily summary (summarizes all her feedings, naps, and pottys) is a great way to keep her right on schedule when she goes home. The infant teachers sing to her, do art, or any other creative craft project one can do with an infant. There are also cameras in that room, so I can take a peek when I am missing her. Also, their Facebook page is constantly updated with pictures, and details on daily/upcoming events. I have no doubt that Milliard Childcare and Preschool is the very best!Previously, my 3 children attended Milliard Childcare and Preschool for almost 2 years (until 2015) in both the infant and toddler rooms. During that time, I felt safe and assured knowing my children would be well attended for. The directors and teachers were always communicative, responsive, and truly cared for the well-being of my kids. If there was ever an issue of whether or not the kids were sick, I was immediately informed and received thorough communication regarding what was going on. I believe their teachers exceeded my expectations. They were kind, friendly, informative, and loving. When I would drop off, they listened to any needs for that particular day. I always felt like my kids were safe and well cared for each day. When I picked up, my concerns were attended to and documented (whether or not they had a diaper rash or illness concerns). During the day, I could call and the teachers in the room were always receptive and responsive. The curriculum for both rooms was organized and age appropriate. The toys, puzzles, games, and interactions were engaging, stimulating, and as a result my children thrived. The directors go above and beyond to ensure that the building is decorated and fun for all holidays. The holiday parties for kids were indicative of the care and concern that the owner has for all age groups of kids at MCP. I highly recommend MCP for any parents looking for their kids to grow emotionally and intellectually. Collectively, the owner, directors, and teachers work hard, demonstrate passion for childcare, and truly care about every child there.

I highly recommend Millard Childcare and Preschool. The staff is great and very friendly. My kids love it there- daughter is three and has been attending since 6 months old, and my son is 11 months, started at 4 months. They have routines and curriculum that they follow. They have time outside playing daily. I love that that have cameras that parents can access anytime of day to check on their child which proves they have nothing to hide. They send updates during the day using a other app. Just so much greatness to say!

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves it here (and she is one that will let me know what she thinks about anything)! She's been going here for about three months. She knows over half of her letters and how to write them...which she definitely didn't get from me. The staff are awesome. The communication is on point and I never have to worry about what is happening. Before I chose a preschool I toured about 5 facilities. This was the only place that DID NOT have most of the kids crying and screaming the whole time I was there. I know kids can be a handful as I have 3. But Millard Childcare and Preschool makes it look like it's easy work! And most importantly I know she will be ready for kindergarten!

We have three children who have attend Millard Childcare and Preschool for 5 years. They always have been very accommodating to our children and our schedules. Our children have always enjoyed their time at MCP and look forward to their Summer Program and field trips! Some of our children's favorite memories are from the Halloween Bash and the End of Summer Bash MCP host for all their enrolled families! We can't thank them enough for being apart of our children's lives!

This second review is in response to my first review comments by the director. The link to view my original review is at the bottom. Trust me when I tell you that the $50 registration fee was the least of my worries. I waited a while to post my review so I wasn't writing out of emotion, but with a level head. The day I asked for my registration fee back was the same day I pulled him so there is no coincidental timing. I did bring concerns to your attention via email several times and all I received in return were excuses for why things were happening the way they were in regards to outdoor play time. I was looking for a daycare that did things correctly without me having to complain about it. Like I said, I watched the cameras and that was all the proof I needed for how engaged the kids were. The next daycare we went to was great and my kid adjusted very well and loved going to daycare. Every time we picked him up he was happily playing and having a good time. I asked for the contact information of the owners and you refused to give it to me.I would never write a review like this that wasn't warranted over a $50 registration fee.

For the last 7.5 years MCP has been taking great care of my girls. Both from the time they were 12 weeks old. My littlest has life threatening allergies and from the moment she was diagnosed MCP was ready and willing to do what was needed for her. The staff and management have been proactive in learning about her needs and maintained great communication on the subject all throughout our years. That littlest girl will start kindergarten in the fall. Even though I am sad to imagine MCP not being part of our regular days I am thankful that both girls were set up for success by the Pre-K program they were a part of there. We really have enjoyed the staff and families we met at MCP and look forward to continuing with their schooler age program in the summer for a few more years! Definitely check them out to see if they will be as great of a fit for your family as they were ours.

Before allowing our family to attend any daycare, we thoroughly researched options (as in a spreadsheet with more than fifty choices) in the Omaha area. I am an educator and have focused on placing my family in a nurturing enviornment. When our firstborn was beginning to transition to daycare, I was worried that a daycare might not like that we used cloth diapers, breastmilk, and organic-only food in glass jars. We decided to take our firstborn here and they have happily met all of our requests. They also send numerous updates throughout the day to let me know how our little family is doing. All of the staff have been very accommodating and kind. We have also loved the opportunities provided for our child. When our firstborn started attending, I watched the cameras constantly for several weeks. This is what I saw: timely play, engaging activities, and lots of holding. My favorite curriculum items for infants and toddlers so far include: story time, Spanish lessons, baby massages, sensory input with a multitude of items, music time with instruments, and toy rotation time. I picked up our firstborn at various times and generally walked into a room with cheerful caretakers and smiling children. If a child was not happy, that child was being held and/or comforted. We are so incredibly grateful for all of the employees that have taken care of our family and will continue to make this our family's second home.

I have sent my two children to three different daycare providers since they have been born and this is by far the best. The business is adaptable to their client's schedules (within reason) and the employees genuinely care about the work that they do. Additionally we found this location to be very affordable when compared to the numerous competitors in the immediate region. I highly recommend MCP!
