Driving across country and our alternator started to die. We picked one up at auto zone and then found Mikes shop online and he said to bring it by. Thanks to The Shop, 45 min later we had our new alternator installed. Mike and the mechanics were honest and upfront!

I found myself broke down on 1-80 somewhere east of Atlantic. After the somewhat fun sitting in the car on a flat bed we ended up in Atlantic on July 4th. Checked into Super 8 in Atlantic and was given Mike's number from the gal at the front desk. She assured me he would take care of us. Called Mike to see what he could do. Being it was the 4th, there weren't any shops open nor parts stores. Mike asked where we were and came by with a wrench and took off the broken belt pully wheel. House calls from auto shops are rare these days especially on the 4th. Mike advised me to call around the next morning to see if we could find parts and a new belt. Got everything lined up but one problem, car doesn't run. Mike called and said he was sitting out front and that he would run me to the parts store. He even went so far as to break out a tool to measure the pully that we found to make sure it would work. Upon return to the Super 8 I asked Mike if I should try to limp the car to his shop and he says no, we will do it here. 20 minutes later we were up and running. I did mention this was 4th of July weekend and he was willing to spend it fixing me up to get back on the road. I asked Mike what I owed him expecting I was at his mercy and that it would be some astronomical number. Nope, he offered a number, I offered to pay a bit more for the service. I wouldn't have slept well knowing that I didn't pay him what I thought was a much fairer price for his time and effort. If you ever find yourself stranding in the middle of Iowa, get to Atlantic and let Mike help you out. Super honest and super helpful guy. You don't meet many people that are willing to do what he did on such short notice. We finished up our 6058 mile summer drive and I told the story of Mike's help from Iowa to Utah. There are still good people in this world and Mike is one of them.

I took my vehicle in for a $600 repair and after my vehicle was "fixed" I picked it up, my battery was now dead and a sensor light was on. I was told by Mike Hanson that he could fix my car for $300 plus $150 for a new battery, I purchased the new battery and I wanted a second opinion on the sensor light. The sensor light was "NOT ON" when I took my car in and my battery was working w no problems. I took my car to another local business in Atlantic, I was told by the mechanic "nothing's wrong with your car , your sensor light was unplugged ". I will definitely never go back to Mike Hanson again!!!!

In the middle of the night the exhaust on our rv broke while traveling cross country. We waited at Mikes shop and he arrived about 20 minutes before his normal opening time. Within a few minutes our vehicle was in a bay being worked on. The repair took about an hour and the price was extremely fair. I highly recommend his services.
