Poor Communication, Damaged Property, and Incomplete WorkI deeply regret hiring this roofing company. My experience mirrors the numerous negative reviews I've since discovered about their questionable business practices and project abandonment.After making my deposit in October, I waited over four weeks with zero communication about when they would start the roof installation. My voicemails went unanswered, leaving me in the dark about the project's status. The lack of response and mounting evidence of similar complaints from other customers led me to contact my bank about the charge.Out of the blue one day I return home after work to find my roof has been removed, an left it that way for a full week. Their crew carelessly handled my property, damaging my Traeger grill by breaking the front leg and the hopper. Even worse, their sloppy cleanup left roofing nails scattered around my property, resulting in two separate tire repairs.I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere for their roofing needs. The combination of poor communication, property damage, and unprofessional conduct makes this company impossible to recommend.

We hired this company to do repair work on my mothers roof. They said they couldn't work for three weeks. They contacted us directly after we went on Angie's list as our first choice was not available. They asked for 1/2 of the money upfront and did not show up to do the work both times they said they would. Also no one called to reschedule we've had to call the every time to find out what's going on. We've asked for our deposit back and we are waiting but have not received anything. The lady that answers the phone doesn't "know" anything and always needs to call back because Mark the owner is always a meeting.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!They took my deposit and never did the work, and stopped all contact with me. I took them to court and easily won the judgment. In the eyes of the court, this was an obvious scam. Although winning a judgment does not get you your money back. Again, do not work with this company. After looking into Mark Schneidwind and Midwest Restorations, my lawyer uncovered many lawsuits that will go unpaid against him and this company. There are so many lawsuits I seriously doubt any of the positive reviews you read on yelp are real.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't know how anyone gives them any stars or recommendations. If you search the name Mark Schneidewind - the owner - you find all of the negative reviews and information as to how he is taking money and not completing work. Working with the company has been a nightmare since we signed the contract. Siding work is horrible - things were not installed correctly or omitted all together. We've had to replace items ourselves. When going to have the house finished - we found that they did not put the flashing under the siding as needed for our stone to be installed. The only way to fix it is to pop the siding up - which has already been caulked - and hope that it doesn't crack the siding or the caulking. The siding spacing is all off. It is not consistent at all!!! We signed our contract and paid in full, but once we finally were sick of not getting a response to fix siding before they painted - we fired them. Of course we had services that we had already paid for - and Mark will not pay us back. Caulking is one of them.ALSO - please not that he did pay us back a deposit - after SEVERAL attempts to get a response from him we finally just showed up at his office. HE WOULD NOT EVEN COME OUT OF HIS OFFICE TO TALK! MADE HIS SECRETARY CALL HIM AND BE THE MIDDLE MAN TO TALK TO MY HUSBAND. He wrote us a bad check. When we found out that it had bounced - of course our bank charged us for it - we got the original check back and the bank that he wrote the check from is NO WHERE AROUND HERE. So you cannot go to cash it. After talking to the secretary again - she assured us that the money was in the back - but guess what, IT BOUNCED AGAIN!!!I just don't get how someone like this is still in business. NO MATTER WHAT YOU READ FOR GOOD COMMENTS ABOVE I WOULD GO TO THE BBB WEBSITE AND LOOK MIDWEST RESTORATIONS. Crooks. Absolutely run. Great to work with until they have your deposit and then good luck getting the work completed or anything but the runaround. When they only completed a portion of the job they were hired for (which took them 6 months to do) Mark assured me a check was in the mail to reimburse us for the unfinished portion which never came. Not only did they take our money and run, they did not pay the subcontractors who did the portion of the job that actually got completed. Even though we had paid MWR, they never paid the subs who put a lien on our home and NINE OTHER HOMES AT THE SAME TIME for the same reason. Mark, Bill and everyone else is full of promises that they never fulfill and will absolutely scam you out of your money and you'll never hear from them again. Absolutely do not work with them.

Company is a joke. They gave me a time frame to get our flat roofs repaired, late August 2019. I got a call, after our phone calls, and email, on November 18, 2019, stating that the work could still be done. No! We live in Nebraska. We didn't feel comfortable with our large roof being demoed, and repaired in late November. Seriously?? All of 2020, with the help of the NE Attorney General, and the BBB, we attempted to get our deposit back. I have documentation stating, to both the NE Attorney General, and to the BBB, that we would get our deposit back. LIES!! It's, now, April 4, 2021. We STILL have not received our deposit back. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Check other reviews. This is a SCAM!!!

Do NOT Use. Do a Google search before you hire. Also search under MWR or Dollhouse Inc. They use many different names. The owner, Mark Schneidewind also uses the alias Mark Wagner.They do not stand behind their work. Once you pay them, if there is ever a problem, you are on your own.I had them replace an entire roof. They kept hounding me for final payment when they weren't complete. They said they would finish the next day and to go ahead and pay. At least I didn't fall for that one. However, the roof leaked after the first heavy rain and the owner actually told me that the vents are not designed to keep the water out with a wind driven rain. Now they won't answer my calls or return my messages. I am stuck with a roof that leaks

Update!! I received my deposit back & very happy about that but I could never recommend this company to anyone and especially the military community and veterans where I am very involved; also received an acknowledgement from BBB & others that I sent cc of my personal experience with this company, there are no 2nd chances; not when I have to spend money and expectations are not met. Good Luck to anyone who chooses to take that chance.

This contractor will take your money and run. We hired him in September 2017 because he was a friend of the family. We had a positive experience at first, and our roof was replaced. That was two years ago, and our deck project still has not been started. Mark, the owner, has since stopped communicating with us. All I want is a refund for the work that was not completed, but what I *should do* is hire someone to inspect the work that was done to make sure that I got what I paid for. I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe is not the case.

Do not hire this company. You will be sorry. I was. Once they are paid you will get nothing more from them but empty promises they never deliver on. They will tell you they will come back to fix the issue but never follow thru. They lie and cannot be trusted, Mark (owner) and Matt included. I was left with a problem they did not fix and no refund. They do not care about the customer. Now I have to hire someone else to do the work they were supposed to do. Please make sure you read reviews before you hire anyone. That I did not do and now I am paying for it.
