Midwest Fest

I thought this event was well organized for a new location. They had a wide variety of food vendors and enough shops to fully clean a bank account. I'm excited to see what next year's event will look like!!

This was my first year going to hutchfest & I had a great time even though it was super hot! There was a cooling tent which was super nice & felt amazing for a break from the heat. I loved the idea of the scavenger hunt for "vendors" that were for more services around the area, I got to learn about some really cool businesses that I didn't really know about before. I love markets like this where you get a wide variety of vendors. I saw some favorites from other markets I've been to and discovered some new ones as well! My only recommendation would be some additional seating by the food trucks and other food areas as there were only really standing tables and some seating, but with how hot it was the extra seating even in the sun would have been amazing. A lot of people were inside millwork commons for the ac and sitting even on the floor just for a place to sit.

Who ever organized this event needs to go back to the drawing board. Bought early bird tickets, got there around 10 and the line was at least 2 blocks long and there was no special line for disabled/handicapped people. I was with my disabled brother, daughter, husband and sister in law. There was only one entrance and the "early bird" line was the longest. First of all how does one think it's a good idea to have one entrance only and how can they expect a disabled/handicapped person to wait in a line for 30 minutes absolutely ridiculous.We ended up leaving and wasting the $32.00, what a shame. Will not be buying tickets to this event again.
