What a difference the proper exam makes. Dr Volcheck is a knowledgeable professional and was able to provide the correct lenses that allow me to enjoy reading and driving again. I had no Idea I could ever see 20/20 with no distortion considering my odd stigmatizations. Thank you so very much to a great team.

When I called to make an appointment at this office, I had a question about what specifically my insurance would cover at this office. I was put on hold for several minutes by a very nice man in order to wait for the "insurance specialist" of the office. When I asked her my question and told her which specific insurance plan I have, she said she would have to look up my plan with my husband's social security number. I told her I didn't have it on me at that time, but I again told her the specific plan I had. She told me "there are like 3000 different insurance plans. I can't answer any questions about yours unless I can get into your account." Ummm... no, lady, I just told you what my plan is. I told her I would just go to a different optometrist office since she wasn't even trying to answer my pretty basic question about insurance. She perkily said "okay," and hung up on me. So, she is incompetent and rude. That's too bad, because this office just lost two possible new patients.

The office staff are awesome, amazing and attentive. The eye Dr on the other hand. Have me half a$$3d eye exam. Only moved a few lenses. The assistant did a diabetic eye exam. I paid cash for all of this. Three weeks later I picked up my glasses and called the next day to tell the optometrist I couldn't see out off my glasses or my old glasses he based my prescription off of. I go back in he finally examined the pictures from my eye exam. It showed bleeding and leaking in my eyes. He never would have looked. He's chatting me up about honoring refunds and I'm freaking out that this guy didn't care that I can't see. Geez!

I have been coming to midtown Eyecare for 19 years. Even when I make drastic changes to my appearance or don't come in for two years, when I walk in the door the staff always greets me by name. There have been times when I have gone in without calling ahead to get adjustments made to my glasses or reorder contacts or whatever and even then I'm greeted by my name. I do miss Thomas, as he was extremely great at his job. I always knew my glasses fit my face well when he helped me to pick them out. One time the glasses I ordered came in looking completely different than the display model and Thomas even switched out the fake lenses with mine to give me the ones I had wanted to begin with. I have not worked with the new lady who is assisting with frame selection, but she seems very nice. Overall this is the only ophthalmologist office I will go to as long as they remain open.

I have been a customer of this eyecare provider for years. I originally had an appointment for last week and they called me to reschedule due to a death in the doctors family. Totally understandable and I rearranged my work schedule and arranged for work coverage for my new appointment date. When I walked in the office, I noticed that the normal person who helps with ordering eyeglasses was not in the front of the office. I asked where Tom was and they said that he was on vacation. I asked why didn't you tell me this when I scheduled my appointment? They said that I could come back to order glasses. And sure, of course I want to arrange to go to their office 3 different times instead of 2!!!! This was completely disrespectful of me as a customer. I am so upset that I do not know if I am even going back. They just may have lost a customer.
