After having my ring resized, my ring was returned to me with a large crack where my diamond setting should be attached to the band.

We initially came in here to get my engagement ring sized. They did a good job of measuring and finding my accurate size. We additionally ended up selecting a wedding band for me from Michael Tish because it was the most beautiful band we'd seen and looked like it was made to compliment my engagement ring.This jewelry store is a small single room with a variety of wedding bands and other precious jewelry. The sales associates were mostly friendly on average for the times we visited. We were pleased with the sizing of my engagement ring and appreciated that they cleaned it nicely. They did mix it up with someone else's ring and when I came to get mine they handed me someone else's. It took them about 20 minutes to locate it which made me a bit nervous. We did return to check out their bands even after the mix up and found the one we liked. It was pretty pricey for a band and though they were not willing to negotiate the price, they did give us a military discount to help with tax. We like the quality of the ring and the sizing was accurate.Overall a nice selection of jewelry with reasonable prices and above average customer service.

Customer service is absolutely awful, and quality depressing. We picked out my ring here 4-5 years ago when we got engaged. After having a baby, I needed my ring resized. I brought it in on a Friday and was told it would be ready Monday. I called Wednesday to inquire, and was told it was sent to the wrong jeweler because they "didn't know it was made from palladium." Even though we talked about that at length at drop-off.It was then sent to the "correct jeweler", and was told it would be ready Friday. Still never received a follow-up call, so I called again on Wednesday the next week. They weren't sure why it wasn't back, and asked to call me back after speaking to the jeweler. They called back within a few minutes to let me know "The ring was ready, and Michael Tish was sending someone over to get it right now." That was at 10:00 a.m. I reminded them that I lived out of town, but wanted to go to Lincoln to pick it up the following day, as I'd been putting off the trip in anticipation of getting the ring. I received a call 10 hours later, at 8:00 p.m and was told the jeweler had to order in more palladium, and the ring was not ready. I inquired as to why they did not know that earlier, since I was told someone was picking it up across Lincoln 10 hours earlier. I got an incredibly lengthy excuse about the jeweler being out of town on vacation for a while, none of which answered my question. I was told then it would be ready Saturday (almost 2 weeks after the original date.)To my surprise, I received a call the following afternoon letting me know it was ready. It was about 4:30 when I received the call. They knew I was in town that day, and I asked what time they closed. I was told 7:00. I arrived about 20 minutes later to pick up the ring before heading out of town, where I was then told "the ring isn't here, we meant that the ring was ready at the jewelers, not that we had it here. We didn't know you would come to get it today." And other excuses followed as to why the mix-up isn't their fault. 20 minutes later the ring arrived, I paid for the sizing and left. Now today, the following day I noticed that although my ring is sized properly, somehow during the sizing there is a large crack where the band on one size has disconnected from the setting. I've called to inform them I will be returning to have this fixed, since it was not there when I brought it in. Since I live out of town, I wanted them to know now even though I won't be able to bring it in right away. So far I've received no apology for the trouble, and was simply told I could bring it in. This crack is visible to the naked eye, and clearly shows where my diamond is detached from the ring. My concern is not aesthetics, but that my diamond will break off from the band itself. I've received excuse after excuse as to why none of this was their fault. My issue is with the quality, and incredibly misleading communication I've had to deal with at the store. They advertise it is a "family" jewelry store, but so far this just means they have terrible communication and don't train their employee/family how to work in a business environment.

I had been looking for a claddagh(Irish ring) for both me and my husband for some time in a really classic style. Surprisingly for how popular these rings are, they are hard to find in a traditional style. I went to Michael Tish and the associate helped me to order from one of their distributors. Their prices were decent. The lady I spoke with was super friendly but I will agree a few other reviews that the owners are a bit lacking on customer service. But overall a good experience. Store is small with decent selection of jewelry. Very clean! The gal I worked with was super friendly!!

Been shopping here my whole adult life for whatever I need, wether that be something small and quick to fit the budget or something as big as an engagement ring. They are the best, hands down. Their Selection, value, price, can't be beat. Not to mention the customer service is incredible. The whole family is there to take care of you and make sure you leave happy. Couldn't give Michael Tish Jewelers a better review, they are incredible.

I had a great experience with MTJ all around. I found them through Instagram. My interaction with them was never in the brick and mortar store, as I am in Richmond, VA. I ordered 2 inexpensive items (under $100) from them for Christmas gifts and I am extremely satisfied! My first initial interaction was an email sent through their website- someone responded in a timely fashion. A few days pasted and I committed to buying 2 of their items. I left a voice message and Allie promptly called me back.She was polite, professional and informative. She helped me pick out the engraving styles by texting the options to me which is much easier than emailing or trying to describe it to me over the phone. The products arrived in less than 2 weeks! The boxes were securely packed in the shipping box. The actual jewelry boxes are decorative and of good quality. The only complaint I have is securing the separate pieces in the jewelry box- they are not secured with any material causing them to swim in the box.I will be purchasing more of the same product for this Christmas.

The service that was provided to my boyfriend and me at Michael Tish was extremely disappointing. We were initially very excited to work with their team after finding a setting for an engagement ring that we absolutely loved. We were looking for a diamond that is not commonly found in jewelry stores in the midwest, but were assured multiple times that they would be able to find this for us and that they wanted to help us find the perfect stone. However, Stephen continually failed to give us answers as to what was happening throughout the entire time that we worked with him. We called multiple times hoping for answers in the last month and a half, only to be consistently put off with promises of a returned phone call that would never come. We would have been completely understanding if they had been honest and communicated with us about any hang ups that they encountered, but instead felt that they avoided us in the hopes that we would just go away. Their treatment of us made us feel as though our business was not important to them and we were very disappointed with the level of communication and professionalism that we received.
