Carne Asada Platter

I discovered this Honduran restaurant while driving along 24th Street. I'd eaten Honduran meals before and particularly enjoyed those dishes accompanied with fried, sweet plantains. Although 24th Street parking can be a challenge, there is a small parking lot to the right of the restaurant as well as a side entrance. Mi Bella Honduras is fairly small but clean and comfortable; I was greeted cheerfully, escorted to a table, and handed the menu. From what I recall, the menu was not large but offered both Honduran and Mexican dishes. I chose the Carne Asada platter -- particularly because it came with plantains, beans, rice, a small salad, and a slice of white cheese. It looked good when served; my two minor complaints were that the meat was a bit too well cooked and the plantains were thin, white, and crispy (instead of the sweet banana-like taste and texture that I'd been expecting). Nevertheless, I plan to return since I'm not aware of other Honduran restaurants in this area and the people working at Mi Bella Honduras were very warm and welcoming. I'd also like to try some other Honduran dishes that struck me as similar but "not quite the same" as their Mexican counterparts.
