This was my visit visit to the 32nd street campus of MCC. The World Food Truck Tour sponsored by the Center of Immigrant & Refugee Advancement organization. There were 5 trucks along with several other vendors inside the main building. The facility and bathrooms were well-maintained. The campus was also impressive for what they offer. The parking lot was plentiful, however some patrons were lousy with parking their vehicles within the lines. This is usually a yearly event and the place was sold out of tickets which did not surprise me. Overall, a nice event at a wonderful facility that offers great opportunities for the community of North Omaha.

Metro is a great place, I have a couple associate degrees from here and for the money the education is great. For this review we attended a one night ice cream making class and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was great and we got to eat a lot of tasty ice cream. I highly recommend taking any cooking classes you can, we hope to take many more non credit classes thru the culinary institute.

I took a few classes at Metro during my undergrad (transferable chem classes for the win) but hadn't really been on the campus for years. They offer many non-credit classes now through their Culinary Institute as well as other non-degreed classes. I can officially say I am hooked. I've taken a class workshop and food studio class both for $50. Both were worth every penny. The first was a knife skills class. We learned knife safety, the proper way to hold and cut with a chef's knife and various sorts of cuts/chops. Our instructor also went over de fabricating a chicken and other tips. We got to take home all the veggies we diced along with a wonderful soup and were feed a chicken pot pie during! The studio I attended was a rum and new world cuisine pairing. It was beyond any of my expectations and totally worth more than $50. We had several courses including duck, lamb, scallops appetizers and a dessert. Each was matched with rum: a mojito to start then drams of rum subsequently. We also got to try the rum Brickway is currently making as their drink specialist curated the studio. Everyone left full and a bit tipsy.I can't wait to take another class and would recommend everyone attend one or two.

Metro community college helped me to secure my CDL - A license. Their instructors were knowledgeable and helpful throughout the course of instruction. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested.

Watch out for inaccurate charges on your account. The college itself is ok, most of the professors don't give a crap and just pass you which I guess is probably most community colleges. I'm transferring to IWCC to finish my degree.
