I wouldn't recommend this gym for gymnastics classes. I was told by several people that they'd had lackluster experiences, but it was close and convenient and my daughter really wanted to try gymnastics so we gave it a try. The week my daughter started was also the first class for one other student. During the 50 minute class time, the teacher put down her clipboard once, for about 5 minutes. Otherwise she didn't help my daughter, or the other new student, or the other students with any skills. At each rotation, my daughter had no idea what to be doing and tried to follow other girls to figure it out. At the bars, the teacher stood and spoke to older students (I was told they were her previous students) while the girls did nothing resembling gymnastics. I took a video of three of them in a row doing some kind of random flip under the bar. At the beam, my daughter had no idea what to do, and was nervous to be on the beam alone. During beam, the teacher walked over and chatted with another teacher. Afterward I complained about the incidents, and was rudely told "these teachers are just high school students." Well, if your teachers are just high school students and aren't going to actually provide instruction, please charge the same rate for open gym instead of the $92/month tuition and the $45 enrollment fee. I couldn't be more disappointed in this gym. Don't waste your time and money. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that they have open gym on Tuesday and Friday mornings and my preschool son enjoys it.

I was very impressed with the facility. It is very clean and lots of space for viewing. However the staff did not meet my expectations. I felt like I was paying for 90 minutes of play time with a babysitter rather than a gymnastics coach. My daughter was tested and placed in a class based on her skill level. On two separate occasions I was given incorrect information about openings in class times. I also asked to be placed on a wait list only to find out later that it never happened. The front desk person always seemed confused and too busy to help. The final straw was when I asked for my daughter to be tested to move up after making sure the class time we wanted was available. After testing I was told that the class already had a wait list of three people.

This facility is extremely nice and clean. There are two smaller classrooms for smaller kids and a huge area with tons of equipment for older kids. There is ample storage space for shoes and coats as well as an upstairs sitting/viewing area for the large room. This upstairs viewing room allows for the parents of smaller kids to have enough room to watch their kids. All of these aspects of the facility are A+.Where the rating decreases is that it is a dice roll which instructor your kid gets. I have two young kids (3 &4) who need more instruction. The instructors who taught my kiddos during the weekday evening classes appeared to be high school kids. I'll just say their enthusiasm left a lot to be desired. However there are some good ones. There are two male instructors who work in the larger area and have subbed or assisted who are wonderful. The weekday evening classes are crowded! Getting in and out of the parking lot can be a awful and time consuming. we recently switched to the Saturday class and it is much more manageable. Less crowded and more quiet. The last item that I will comment on is that my youngest is still acclimating to being in a structured environment by himself. At first getting him to stay in class was difficult as he was scared. I asked the front desk woman if I could sit in the room on the edge so as to not be distributive to the class in order to help him (and they are not cheap so I want him to get the full amount of time I pay for). The lady was fairly persnickety and said we don't allow that/encourage that. This kid just turned 3, come on! And I pay you guys a lot of money for two kids. I think I can have some latitude on this issue. To say the least I decided to break her rule and I sat in his class to aid him. As the weeks have gone by I stay in the class less and less. Eventually I won't be in there at all. Guess it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Especially at this place when dealing with young children for high priced services.

My 8 year old daughter has been with MetroStars Elkhorn then Maple for the past three years and when asked what she wants to do when she gets bigger, she says open a gym just like Metrostars! The coaches, esp Coach Lindsey, and leadership, Julianne, bring an incredible energy- building skills and confidence as a gymnast in the atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. We love the availability of open gym, extra skills clinics and festive events offered throughout the year. How lucky are we to have this gym in our community- it is a dream come true for my daughter!

They don't teach you anything and they switch your coach every other week. After a couple weeks you get tired that place. They have a candy machine but it's always jammed. It's so dirty My daughter would always try to keep her shoes on as much as possible. Don't waste your time or money.

We are currently in the little dippers. When we first started we had an amazing coach, Coach Cash, and loved it! Unfortunately we had to switch days and then had a new coach that was not nearly as good. The coach changed but the facility then upped the class size to 8. Tonight there were 9 kids plus parents in the class. There are only 5 stations, so we ended up standing around as much as we did an activity. I would not recommend Metro Stars Little Dipper class. The ratios are awful and the kids don't get to do the activities as much as they have to stand around waiting for them to open up.
