Mercy Thai Restaurant

We were visiting the Bob Kearney bridge on our way back to CA after Ragbrai and stopped for lunch. What luck to find such a quality place while traveling. We went with the classic Pad See Ew and Fried Rice combo and added an appetizer - So Moo Swa. Sooooo Good! I would recommend this place to anyone living in Omaha or Council Bluffs.

Full disclosure: this review is based strictly on one lunch takeout experience. Needing a quick lunch while on the love, the yelp algorithm led me to Mercy Thai. That tells you how much I go to Thai restaurants....a whole lot. I've had too many pad Thai's to even count. Mercy's Pad Thai is unlike any I've had before. The portion size is great, and the noodles are perfectly done. But it's spicy.....like really spicy. I chose a level 5 spice out of 10 and instantly was taken aback with the first bite. Halfway through my nose is running and I'm seeking water. Am I really that much of a weekling? If that's the case, level 10 would easily put me in an ambulance! With that being said, although my experience was limited, Mercy Thai proved to be a good choice overall.

Cozy Thai restaurant in a small strip mall. Pretty simple decor but clean and friendly service. We ordered $100 worth of food. Pad Thai was pretty standard. Noodle soup was decent. Larb was okay. All in all pretty standard food.

I came to Mercy Thai on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The inside decor is cute, with blue walls and pictures of Thailand on the walls.I was greeted warmly and told I could choose my own table. Once I did, my server came over promptly with a menu and took my drink order. I ordered egg rolls for an appetizer, and pork pad Thai for my entree.The egg rolls were delicious! The order came with 4 rolls and a sweet chili sauce, and there was soy sauce on the table as well. I saved a couple to take home so I'd have room for my entree. When the Pad Thai came, it looked so good! I ordered it at a heat level of 5 out of 10. It was enough to make my mouth tingly but not too spicy to enjoy. It comes with scallions but I asked for them to be left off, which wasn't a problem. Crushed peanuts and a lime were served on the side so I could customize my dish however I chose. As I mentioned, the sauce had a kick to it and it was very good. There was a nice mix of noodles, sprouts, egg, and pork. This was my first visit and I would happily come here again.

It is now a tradition that whenever my partner and I are visiting a new state- we always try Thai food at least once during our trip. We are from California where there's an abundance of all types of Asian foods and we are always surprised with how good Thai food is outside of California.We usually order pad Thai (a good indicator of how good the restaurant is). We came in around 1 o'clock and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp and the Tom Ka Kai which has chicken, cilantro, lemon grass, pepper, tomatoes, tamarind, fish, coconut milk, chili paste and mushrooms- wow that description alone is making my mouth water. 5/5 would def recommend people to come check this place out!

Got takeout from here for dinner. I got a pad thai tofu and red curry chicken both level 4 spice. Both were $12.95 before tax. Admittedly, I saw the picture of their menu which listed both at $8.95 and that's what brought me here. Blame it on inflation, supply chains, or Joe Biden but it doesn't seem like anywhere in Omaha sells a pad thai for less than $10 anymore. Their price change does not affect my rating. The pad thai came in a good quantity and was not too oily which I appreciated. However I just didn't find it as tasty as say Salween or Bangkok Kitchen. I would've liked the red curry to be a bit thicker but had good taste. Vegetables come in decent size chunks, personally would've liked them smaller. Spice was the right amount for a level 4.All in all this isn't a bad place and I wouldn't mind eating here again but i have go-to options I'd probably pick first.

This is a gem of a restaurant in Omaha! Had been wanting to try this place after seeing so many other wonderful reviews and it did not disappoint. I tried their pad Thai (you have to if it's your first time!), the level four already had a decent kick to its spice level so choose wisely! Now, my favorite pad Thai in Omaha! I also tried their crab rangoon and it was delicious as well, didn't even make it for a photo!

Decent Thai/Chinese food.Do NOT use GrubHub. A delivery in "45 minutes" takes over 90.

We used DoorDash so I can't speak about the service. I had beef pad thai and crab rangoons and both were excellent, generous portions and very tasty!

This is my go-to Thai food restaurant in the greater Omaha area. The best in overall taste, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. I've tried many other Thai restaurants around here, but I can always count on Mercy Thai for being consistently at the top. "" (, neung)
