I love Mercy Thai, so I was excited to have one close to me. I Ordered drunken noodles, they didn't have the noodles, so they replaced them with pad Thai noodles. So that was ok I guess. But it's not the same. I was excepting sweet, sour, spicy salty Thai basil and heat. All the wonderfulness of drunken noodles. But, it was salty and hot, and lacking terribly in sauce. All those exciting tongue tickling flavors were missing. Oh how disappointed I was. I also ordered egg rolls, were just ok and very greasy. And the dipping sauce was offensively salty. Maybe it was a bad day, and I might try again. But I'll guess I'll just stick to the original Mercy Thai.

A Last-minute decision and a great meal! Located on the Council Bluffs side of the pedestrian bridge this little restaurant offers big flavor. A cozy little restaurant with pictures of Thailand is very clean and always busy! We were pleasantly greeted and offered to grab a table. Our server was very pleasant, but there was a bit of a communication gap, and some of our order did not quite make it as a result. I would simply suggest verifying the order after it's taken to avoid any confusion. The food was just as we remembered, very, very good! We had some of their fried tofu with sweet chili sauce and chicken (alternate proteins also available ) pad Thai, which is available with heat levels that go from 'mild' to 'melt your face'.We ordered entirely too much food and still our bill was super economical. There is no alcohol available at this location, however a nice varieties of Thai tea offer a great pairing. Plenty of parking in the area with no meters makes for easy access and no parking ticket worries! Also accessible via foot from downtown or just a bicycle right away over the bridge. A really great place to check out. I would highly recommend verifying the hours as they don't post closures on the web and they tend to be closed for holidays.

I live in downtown Omaha and I love to walk on the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge over to Iowa Unfortunately, the Council Bluffs side is not very walkable. There is one restaurant in the area, Mercy Thai.Fortunately, it is quite tasty. Affordably priced, with fast and friendly service.I got the Pad Thai Woon Sen, which is just like regular Pad Thai but with glass noodles instead of rice noodles. It is generally more savory than the regular, and the noodles are kind of crispy/springy.It was really good. The Thai iced tea and coffee were generously sized (as was the food).I definitely will be coming back! It's a great resting point after walking the bridge. Must admit though that after eating a lot of food and still having a lot to carry home, the walk back was a little more challenging!

The food was average. The language barrier was a huge problem. We had several questions and they just said yes, even though it was the wrong answer.

I heard about this new Thai restaurant in CB and had to give it a try ASAP.I showed up when they opened for dinner last night, at 5pm, and was immediately greeted and sat.I ordered the fresh spring rolls and the Drunken Noodles. The rolls and the Drunken Noodles came out in no time; (a few minutes apart). The spring rolls were really fresh but had too much carrot and lettuce and only had a couple little shrimps. I probably won't get these again, which is a shame. The Drunken Noodles were good. Every ingredient looked and tasted fresh. I got a 5, which is probably a tad too hot for me so I'll get a 3 next time. (They ask you to choose a hotness level, 1-10.)Next time I'll probably get the old tried and true Pad Thai but wanted to try something new this time. I'll definitely be going back to try their other dishes, as well as some curry and will update my review if anything changes.

Classic pad Thai. Nice and fatty mouthfeel. It's just bit on the peanut butter-y side for my taste but still very good. Wish it was a bit heartier but it was by no means skimpy. Do not trust their spice level. I had a two because usually Thai kicks my butt... but this was very tame. Wife got the fried rice. It was basic but performed well. Expect leftovers, because it was large. Egg rolls came STRAIGHT out the fryer and were a crowd pleaser. Service was a bit disorganized but functional. The crew wanted to be there. The atmosphere is a bit odd since it's in the base of an apartment building, but I've eaten in weirder places. Reasonably priced. Nice to have SOME Thai food in Council Bluffs finally.

We ordered Pad Thai with a mild hot sauce. It was excellent. Eggs rolls accompanied the takeout meal and completed the experience. When asked to choose from 1 to 10 for spice level, just know that a level 5 is slightly elevated for most. The flavor is clean and fresh.

Mercy Thai is THE best curry I've ever had!!! We visit Omaha NE. Once a month and it's the first place we go. The portions are large and the price is very reasonable ! And the people there are so nice, they always remember us and are truly glad to see us back, that means a lot!
