Maximus Restaurant & Sports Bar

I go to a place like Maximus to get two things - good food and good service. I've been to Maximus at least 25 times in the last two years and each and every time I get what I came for - good food and good service. Today was no exception. I ordered a simple lunch of a plain hamburger and a salad bar. The salad bar was cold, fresh, clean, and tasty! Those are the elements of a great salad bar. The hamburger was thick, cooked to perfection (medium) and delicious. I didn't want it to end. Maybe next time I'll order two!So if you're looking for good reliable service and food in a comfortable sports bar atmosphere - Maximus is a great choice. Enjoy!

Went on a Monday night. I had the Rueben and my wife had the pork cutlet. Both were very good. The homemade chips were excellent. Waitress was very nice and food got there very quickly. Highly recommended!

The food was fast and the servers were nice. The food was delicious with the right bread to meat ratio on the hamburger. Me and my friend thought that the boneless wings were delicious but it was a little to spicy. But that was our faults for ordering the meals. Overall though the wings and the burger were good. The lemonade was very delicious and quenched my thirst, it was a little sweet though. My other friend ordered the French dip sandwich, and said it was very scrumptious. The au jus was to die for he said. Overall the food was good and the servers were very nice and the service was pretty good!

Maximus bar and grill on 329 23rd St, Columbus, NE is an amazing place to eat. The food is great and the smell will make your mouth water. The bar is a great place to take the family to eat. It has friendly service, and they are always happy to help you. They have a wide variety of options to chose from on their menu. The cost is very low for food this delicious. Every once and awhile, they will have a band play for you. The most common band that plays there is a jazz band. They play very professionally and they play songs that are very good. They also have every TV on during open hours. They will change the game for you is you ask. They will play any game that is on at that time and they are normally football games. They are a family friendly bar, and have entertainment for all ages.They have a game room, and a pool room. The game room has driving games, a claw game, and even a speed boat game. The pool room has multiple pool tables so more than one group can play at a time. All you have to do is ask for the balls and pay them a little bit of money, and you can play for as many games as you like. One of the bad things about this bar is that after ordering, your food takes a long time to get to you. I'm not sure if it's because they have a small kitchen or that the food takes a long time to cook, but it takes about twenty minutes to get to you. But because of the games you can play there, you can just go do those while you wait. Overall, Maximus bar and grill is an amazing place to go. They have everything from good food, to entertainment. I would go to this place every day if I could. I highly recommend this bar to families and people who just want to hang out.Rating : 5 stars (*****)

This place was horrific. 2/3 of the tables were empty when we arrived. Were told we couldn't be served without a reservation. No signs on tables noting that they were reserved and the staff was rude and acted put out that we were there. If this is the policy it would be good to have a host/hostess at the door so we knew when we arrived that we wouldn't be served. Absolutely abysmal service

From MI here for work. Great service food was pretty good. Wait staff said they were know for their wings. I got the grilled chicken salad with 10 bone in wings and my husband got turkey Rueben. Wings had great taste but sauce was on only one side of the wing, my salad was pretty sad for $10. Very small portion! Turkey Rueben was good. I would go back but not for a salad.

Chicken Philly sandwich tasted like the inside of a refrigerator, it definitely was not fresh. Mens bathroom is dirty and stinks. Big screen tv has had a message across the screen that says lamp life exceeded, it has been like this since I was here a month ago. Probably the best thing was a nice waitress but overall, this place has gone downhill. I do not recommend

The owners are terrible and very rude. Some of the wait staff is ok, that guy bartender is a nut case I will never go back to this place and that one old waitress with glasses and long hair she is just awful, I will.make sure and tell people not to visit this place,

Great service food was good and prices were not very expensive. Will definitely return. The bbq whiskey Bloody Mary is delicious!!

If you want watch an NFL game on Thursday night in this SPORTS bar don't waste your time they don't get that channel.
