My mom was craving a salad and really wanted to go to the Farmhouse Cafe on a Saturday afternoon but unfortunately, they close at 2pm so the Market Basket seemed like a good backup option. The ambiance is nice there and we had the place to ourselves (it may have been a game day). The food was just okay and pricey to boot. I know prices are up everywhere but $18.00 for a salad is a big ask. The bread on my sandwich was thick and dry, not the best option for a BLAT. Also, they played this loud, jarring jazz music that made me feel more anxious than relaxed. I do love the corner location in Loveland Plaza though.

I went here for a late lunch at 3pm on the middle of the week. Maybe it's because it was after a lunch rush, but they didn't seem attentive. There were only a few (2 maybe) tables with older couples lounging around drinking coffee. I ordered a reuben. It came with "house chips" which was very few burnt plain potato chips. I never said "to go" but they gave it to me in a takeout container so I just sat at a table and ate it there. No one asked if I wanted a water or anything; maybe it's self service there or something. The sandwich was just ok but was (I could be off by a dollar either way) $18 before tip. I have had better tasting food and better service at fast food places.

I had not eaten here since it moved from Countryside Village. Big mistake.A wonderful carrot cake; one of the best in Omaha. The green gazpacho soup is sublime. A real delight.I ordered a salad and it was a great summer dish. The patio is very nice. Worth hanging at after a workout at the fabulous Row House. I was able to enter the premises without wearing a mask. What a relief!

Not a very interesting place. It's one of those places that should serve breakfast all day but they do not. They have a very limited menu. I will say that the sticky buns are really good, especially the pecan sticky buns.

It's been a while, and I was back to dine at Market Basket for sit down service a few times since my last review. I can't put my finger on it but still not a huge fan of the place. The food is not bad, in fact, pretty decent. The decor is simple but nice. The staff has been friendly, helpful, and attentive. So why still 3 stars?I think my overall feeling about this establishment is that its a "fine" place to go, but nothing on the menu sparks my interest enough for frequent visits and cravings. I still think the price point on the entrees are a little high for what you're getting, and while I am happy to pay that for an entree, it has to be something I really enjoy. Portions are modest as well. So, perhaps just not my cup of tea, but others might find that "favorite" meal at this establishment. In Omaha, the new American dining game is quite strong, so you have to have a good menu to keep me coming back for more.

Finally tried this restaurant the other day! It's a few blocks from my house, not sure why I've never tried it before! I was pretty impressed with food! I ordered the McMarket Basket which was very tasty. A buttery croissant with savory ham, melty cheese and scrambled eggs. It was a very unique shaped croissant that fell apart easily, so definitely a fork situation. My husband got the French Toast which was phenomenal! The "secret concoction" that the bread is dipped in is funnel cake!! So yummy! I also enjoyed their Bloody Mary - not too plain, yet not too spicy. They only downside to this place would be the price. Our meals seemed steep for the proportions, no sides are included. I was hungry within an hour and a half of eating here. So maybe stop here if you're in the mood for a lighter brunch. Otherwise I really enjoyed this place!

Waited 35 minutes for below average, overpriced food. The $16.50 brisket sandwich had hardly any meat on it and the "homemade chips" were burnt. If I could leave zero stars I would. AVOID!

Ambiance & food (though not the price!) are geared towards the senior crowd. My husband's tuna fish sandwich was "wet" & bland. The chicken in my $18 salad was tougher than the walnuts. Our service was terrible. I will not be back.

My mother and I went there a couple months ago, and while the food was great - a bit pricier than what I remembered, but the service was terrible -- there was 3-4 tables that were occupied, but it took literally forever to get our meals. I know that they are struggling with supply issues and staffing (like everyone else) and are doing the best they can....but after that day, I just can't bring myself to go there again. The atmosphere truly IS beautiful, some framed antique quilts on the walls, and it is a lovely, airy, open space, and the staff is great....but the menu pricing seems a bit steep for what you get these days.
