I'm not entirely sure why I've never tried their food before, as once in my life, I lived and breathed diesel fumes from being around a crap ton of them. But we decided to swing my The River Front downtown for their event, where we knew there'd be at least 4-5 trucks there. Classically I would gear towards something that on the go, doesn't have a chance to upset my intestines (thanks sans gallbladder), and I don't have to map out bathrooms prior to arrival. Took a chance (but sat near the lame 3-stall bathroom) on their Birria tacos and quesadillas (eaten too fast to get a picture). I will say, I now don't want any quesadillas that uses cheddar cheese. How about a white cheese, that is NOT greasy and doesn't upset the stomach. Their menu doesn't say what kind of cheese and I failed to ask, but never again with the cheddar cheese ones (ack). Their brick and mortar closed down at 51/L St, but you can follow their food truck on social media to see their schedule. Definitely check them out!P.S: service was excellent, too!

I had the beef enchiladas, I'm giving 2 stars for effort , packaging and service. The food, was under my rating of meh. Meh I would finish, under meh, I'll find something else to eat. The beans had potential, but they were undercooked and for that reason I definitely decided to pass, oh the gas they may cause, the enchilada was underwhelming and not all the good to be honest, the rice was also quite dry. I may have been able to salvage to meal with the salsa on the side, however it was about 1 teaspoon, what am I going to do with that? However, I'm going to chalk it up to a bad day, maybe fulfilling a large order for a local business was a bit much and therefore the flavors were off. Should I cross their path in my travels, I will give them another chance.

I really wished I liked this truck but it was lacking quality food. Ordered the chicken quesadilla and it tasted like canned chicken. Not to mention it was $8. Something was totally wrong with this quesadilla. They served a green salsa with it that was awful. It was a mixture of water down lime and cilantro. I'm not Mexican, but I could make a way better salsa. I don't plan of eating at this food truck again. With so many taco trucks in Omaha. This one is a miss!

I love this food truck. First off, it's just beautiful to look at. They get an A+ on the visually appealing design. Second, the food is delicious. They serve up your typical taco truck fare: tacos (corn or flour tortillas), burritos, enchiladas, tortas and quesadillas. Prices might be a tad higher than other tacos trucks, but you'll feed yourself well for under $10.I had four tacos for $8. Two beef and two pork, each with double corn tortillas, topped with cilantro, onion, tomatoes and queso fresco. I gobbled up every bite.I especially loved that Maria Bonita made an appearance at Metcalfe Park, right by my house. More of that, please! Any day they're that close to home, I'll be there.

Maria Bonita's used to be a regular restaurant, but when they closed, so many people loved their food they opened a catering service and a Food Truck. Their original food truck could regularly be found on S 24th (around I St.) but since has opened a second one which can be found on the NW corner of 13th and Harney till the wee hours of the morning. I have also seen them come into the Meat Processing plants in South Omaha to supply lunch for the workers (they allow very few and only select trucks in).I love this food truck, it has some of the best street food in Omaha, their Tacos are legendary, the best being their carnitas or al pastor tacos, and their burritos are very satisfying, and they have great salsa! I always see a line outside their truck late at night. I have them in my top 5 Best of Omaha Food Trucks!

This is a new foodtruck on the downtown scene. Judging from what I saw yesterday it is being very well received. I ordered some tacos asada and a carnitas torta. The tacos were good and they do offer flour tortillas for those who don't like the traditional corn (although I must say corn is WAY better). The carnitas torta was excellent - one of the best in town - the pork and the bun were both great. They also offer my favorite taco truck salsa - basically a guacamole/salsa verde mix - and their version is perfect.

The super burrito was outstanding. Others in our group had the super Nachos and the steak fajitas - thumbs up from all. The line gets long at the food truck, but for good reason. With just two staff it was not too bad of wait. Well done Maria's.

Stop what you're doing right now, and find this food truck! I ordered a chicken taco and steak taco on corn shells, and side of rice and beans -- it was $9 and FANTASTIC! Super fresh, they were very quick to fulfill my order and it was amazing. I absolutely love the green salsa that they had available -- fresh, delicious, spicy -- amazing! The ONLY reason this isn't 5 stars, is because I really like some chips with my Mexican food and unfortunately they didn't have any available -- but...it's fantastic!!!

Yum! Just visited the Maria Bonita Food Truck that was located at Durham Plaza today and had a delicious lunch. Menu choices included tacos ($3 each), quesadilla, burrito ($7), torta, nachos, and enchiladas. They also had I believe four different kinds of meat to choose from. I went with the el pastor (marinated pork) burrito, and it was delicious! I thought it was very filling as it was a nice size burrito. Most of my coworkers went with the tacos while one had the quesadilla. Everyone was very happy with their food! This is one of the best food trucks I've been to based on it's design. Maria Bonita's had three salsas that people could get themselves, and these are in a compartment built in to the food truck. Another compartment housed the silverware. I thought this was great as other food trucks have tables set up in front of them which can sometimes be a disaster if it is windy. The two women working the food truck were super pleasant and very friendly--great service! I was disappointed they didn't have the chips and guacamole (even though it was advertised for $6) because the one time I have been to their actual restaurant it was some of the best guac I have ever had!!! One of the women said she forgot to bring the chips and guacamole. Maybe next time!I think the only disappointing things about the food truck are the prices and the wait. I thought my burrito for $7 was reasonable, but small tacos for $3 seems high to me (I understand this is the same price they charge in the restaurant as well). And the chips and guacamole--even though it wasn't available--seemed high at $6. Also, even though both employees were super friendly, it was a little bit of a long wait to get the food. One women took the orders while the other made the food, so I felt they could have used one other person making the food. However, it is made to order so it's really not that big of a complaint!Overall, I'll definitely be eating at this food truck again when I have the chance!

Warning...this review of the food truck is not based on a 2 a.m. post bar visit. Why? Because you can hire the truck for your backyard. Oh yessssss!A friend of a friend of a friend (or something like that) hosted a backyard party this weekend. It's the standard "bring your awesome auto to park in the expansive backyard and become friends with random strangers while sippin' on Coors Light tall boys" event. OK...so maybe not SO standard, but feels very-Nebraska.The genius move of the party hosts was to hire this food truck to park in the backyard so hostessing takes on a whole new level of ease and preparedness. Mosey up to the truck and choose from the tacos (flour or corn), burritos, quesadillas, nachos or tortas with chicken, steak, marinated pork or shredded pork (or all of the above). Get your number, chill with your tall boy, and hang out with friends as your fresh-made mexi-delight-in-a-paper-boat is preppred. Clean up is a cinch with trash cans located everywhere and folks taking care of their own trash.Friendly, fast and, for less than $300 for three hours, simply genius. While the at-the-corner of downtown food truck is awesome, food truck in the backyard - freaking amazing!
