What a gem this place is!! Yelp has delivered once again. We needed a place to stop for a quick lunch on our road trip. This is a great spot to get delicious sandwiches on homemade bread which is delivered daily to the market from a baker in town. And the ladies behind the counter.. so friendly!! They made me want to move to Milford and get to know them better :) The market itself has so much to offer too. Kitchen staples galore. Lots of local jams, salsas and sauces as well as candles and soaps etc. I picked up a couple gifts while we were there. If it wasn't 150 degrees today we would've enjoyed our sandwiches outside where they have a bunch of Adirondacks and a picnic table. Next time!!

A fanatic shop to have in our community. They have everything you need to bake your heart out as well as all the staples you might run short of on a daily basis. They have a great deli where you can also grab a fantastic sandwich when you need something ready to eat. They stock a lot of small batch jams and jellies and specialize in supporting smaller farms and producers. You can also snag toys, home decor and a huge wall of candies. I hit this shop up weekly for lunch or last minute staples I run out of. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The best way to describe it is, you know that shopping area in a Cracker Barrel that is supposed to feel like classic Americana but is just the same mass produced stuff from coast to coast? This is the real life version of that. Real products and tie in a great little grocery store. This is the real deal spot. You won't be disappointed!Try the Ball of Fire sandwich. It is my personal favorite.

Main Street Market is one of those hidden gems Yelpers love to discover. I was in Milford for work and needed to grab lunch. There is less than a handful of food options and very little feedback on Yelp about any of them. I had heard from a friend that Main Street Market had cute Amish rugs so I figured it would be worth a stop and if there weren't food options, I'd move on. Not only did they have cute rugs, they had groceries, home decor, homemade foods (including frozen pie crusts, yummy bread, cookie dough), canned foods, furniture...lots of goodies. And they also had a deli! All the sandwiches had a railroad theme to them with some traditional and some unique combinations. I had the Lizard Scorcher which included roast beef and Swiss topped with a spread of hot pepper jelly. It was fantastic! And the bread is thick, fresh and homemade. I grabbed a drink from the cold case and chips from one of the aisles, and sat outside in one of the handmade rockers and took in the beautiful, breezy afternoon. This is a family owned business. It sounds like the family moved here from Missouri, saying on their website: "We had always shopped at bulk food stores back in Missouri. We missed the old-fashioned products we could find there, such as homemade noodles and Dutch cocoa powder. We especially missed the lower prices on everyday items such as spices, pastas, gelatins, and baking supplies. So back to our home area we went to do a little research on the bulk food stores there. If a store of that type was appreciated in Missouri, surely Milford, Nebraska would benefit from one, too, we thought. Thus, it became a family endeavor, and Main Street Market opened its doors May 1st, 2015."I would say this place is worth a visit if you're in town or even if you feel like a road trip. I'd love to return and pick up some homemade crusts for the holidays and maybe even some gifts. They have these beautiful, colorful baskets all around the store that I almost took home. Plus, when you shop here, you're supporting a family and community. Add it to your list. :)

Stopped here for breakfast because it had healthier options than most surrounding places. Everyone inside was Mennonite, so you know it's good. You can choose from the menu or modify and create your own. Perfect for vegetarians in need! The bread was amazing and picked up a couple snacks from their produce. Don't be turned away from the nasty cow farm on the way there. PSA: I believe the Mennonite community doesn't believe COVID is real, so no one was wearing a mask, whether it be customers or workers.

Great selection of food for sale. Sandwiches were creative and delicious! You were also able to find some baked goods to purchase. Nice selection of last minute gifts. The owner checked us out and was super helpful with where to find stuff within the town even. Loved that. We truly just stumbled in here and so glad we did. Have a son who goes to Milford for college and sent him that way for lunch and snack options.

Nice market for the basics and goodies you won't find anywhere else. Awesome deli and the ham salad is to die for. Mom thinks the owner is rude but that's Nebraska, they don't like outsiders and treat them like garbage accordingly.

I was in Milford, Ne for my grandsons baseball tournament. I googled Milford for ideas on places to get a quick meal, The Main Street Market came up. I went there and bought a sandwich which was quite good. This is a unique place that appears to be Amish owned. They have everything from rugs to spices, latte mixes, and more. If it weren't an hour drive I would go there often. If in Milford, it is worth to time to stop there.
