This place is total old school - and that my friends is a good thing. I love these kind of places. Everybody knows everybody and everyone is friendly - from the staff to the regulars.Now in all honesty the last review compared the burgers here to Stella's, they are not even close. But with that being said the burger was very good, patty melt was great, fries were standard issue and onion rings were pretty darn good. The prices here seem almost too good to be true.The bartender/waitress was very nice. I would go back here anytime.

Great food great service very friendly people. The place looks recently remodeled and very clean. We will definitely be stopping back here again.

Eating a dozen wings at Longhorn is an experience unlike any other, one I've been enjoying for 20 years now. Their Buffalo sauce is out of this world. Throw some Idaho nachos with jalapeños on the side, and you're living good.

Having grown accustom to the excellence embodied by the former owner of the Longhorn, I had high expectations for the renewed V.3 of Fort Calhoun's Longhorn. I ordered a Taco Salad. It was a below average version, served in the shell, albeit soggy, tasteless and less than memorable. I suppose the base cost was average. Another in our party ordered a burger and learned fries, etc. were all extra. Ice tea is for one small glass. No free refills policy was learned the hard way at check out time. The final straw was when the Omaha Restaurant Tax was added on to end of the bill. Fort Calhoun does not collect this tax. The explanation was it was part of their software from other restaurants the owner operated. If cash was paid they would remove it. My anticipation for something as good or better than V.2 has been dashed. We will not return.

Great food, good service, will definitely be back! Burgers were delicious and cooked just right.

I came in with a friend today, the food was great, although I had gone to the bathroom and there was a worker in there dancing, not sure what that was about. Overall a great place, however I think they could manage the staff better.

Great atmosphere, good food, good service, and good people. Some of our favorite menu items include the pickle fries, burgers, and chicken fried steak. If you like sweet drinks, the Blue Calhoun goes down pretty easily. The wings are also fantastic. They are huge and well worth the cost that another reviewer noted. In the words of my 13 year old son with a voracious appetite, "This is what wings would taste like if God made them."

Hamburger was great. Customer service was acceptable and my son and I enjoyed the sides.

Very friendly staff and really good food!! I ordered the Boom Boom Chicken sandwich and was surprised by the large chicken filet. Excellent fries as well!

These are our families favorite wings in all of Omaha and surrounding areas. They are massive! The black and bleu burger is highly recommended. Everything is top notch from food to drinks and service. Make the short drive to Fort Calhoun, you won't be disappointed!!
