This Place seems like a great choice at the beginning but unless you want your child to be neglected and/or end up with behavior problems I would stay away. The staff has no integrity the manager being the worst of all. the only thing the manger (nikki) can find time to do is sit on her phone and come up with excuses to the never ending list of problems that she causes. Would highly recommend all you parents to find a clean safe daycare for your kids.

This place is a joke and has made a real name for itself in Gretna. It's pretty common knowledge that Holy would bring in people to "pose" as staff members to pass inspections, our son had to be picked up an hour after he had been there because they didn't have staff to be able to watch him. He was pulled from the center due to their unreliable operation. He is at a new center in town where there are past staff members of Little Red and have confirmed the rumors that have went around town. Please do yourself and your child a favor and find another center!!

I have had a great experience with Little Red School House in Gretna! My daughter has attended there since she was 8 weeks old and she is now in the Pre-K program so she we have experienced all the different classrooms. Here are a few of the things I love about Little Red....1. Safe and clean environment. The front doors are secure entry with key fobs for each family. There is a fingerprint electronic check in and out system. The classrooms are very clean. Everyday when I pick up my son they are cleaning toys in the wobbler room, vacuuming, and mopping floors.2. Spacious classrooms, an indoor gym, and huge outdoor fenced in yard. The classrooms are by far the largest rooms of any daycare I toured. Each child has their own crib. There is lots of room to run and play. They are re-doing the outdoor space so each age has their own space to play outdoors. When it is cold or rainy, they have an indoor gym that kids can burn off their energy in!3. Loving staff. The business is family owned and operated and both owners' children attend there so you know you are getting quality care. They know each child individually. My kids love going to Little Red!4. Education. Before age 1 both of my kids knew baby sign language. At age 3.5 my daughter could write her name very well. Kids learn so well in group settings and Little Red's curriculum allows them to learn and grow. Each room has a circle time with songs and learning about the weekly theme. Toys are rotated out in the younger rooms so kids don't get bored of the same things. The older kids get to go on field trips too. Pre-K has a full range of subjects including music, science, art, reading, and writing.5. Growth. I wanted a center that my kids could stay at from birth until they go to Kindergarten. Little Red will even transport kids to and from school when they reach school age.6. Meals. Beginning in the wobbler room, kids get 2 meals and snacks provided every day. The breakfast is similar to what we have at home: bananas, muffins, breads, cereal, cereal bars, etc. The lunches are catered in from a food service company. Parents receive a menu each month. The meals include a main dish, side dish, and a fruit/vegetable. They can also have seconds if they choose. I like knowing my kids are getting a balanced meal at school everyday! I would encourage all parents to tour the center and see for themselves how it is owned and operated!

Both of my children are enrolled at Little Red and we have been extremely happy with the care they receive. Any time a parent has to take their children to daycare, it can be a stressful decision and one you don't take lightly. We enrolled my son with Little Red per the recommendation of a co-worker and have been extremely satisfied with his care, especially after Holley and Katerina took over ownership of the center. We love Little Red for several reasons:1. Safety: the owners did a wonderful job of increasing safety by implementing a key fab system for the entrance and exit of the building, restricting entry to those with access only. They also have a fingerprint system in place for the checking in/checking out process for each child. 2. Meals: Little Red caters in hot lunches for all of the children from a food service company. Several centers require parents to pack a lunch for their children. Little Red serves balanced meals, including all of the food groups. They also provide breakfast and snacks for the children. My children actually have learned to love new foods as a result of the different menu options offered by daycare! My son and daughter both have food allergies/sensitivities and Little Red does a great job of keeping track of this and ensuring proper food items are served. On top of this, they communicate this with all staff members that might be caring for the children, which is very comforting!3. Education: I feel my son has flourished as a result of the education he is receiving at Little Red. Each classroom beginning with the Wobbler Room, a curriculum is implemented to encourage learning at all stages. My mother-in-law is a teacher and is constantly raving to everyone about how impressed she is with Little Red and the things they are teaching the children. She can't believe everything my son can do: count to 30 with no problems, sing and count in Spanish, has known his ABCs since he was 2, knows a large amount of nursery rhymes, knows the days of the week and months of the year in both English and Spanish, understands the seasons of the year, recognizes patterns, recognizes and knows a multitude of shapes, etc., the list goes on and on. One key point my husband and I were looking for in a daycare was to avoid having to switch our son to a different pre-school in hopes one would be offered at the daycare center. I am very comfortable with the education he is receiving and will continue to receive at Little Red.4. Classrooms/Playtime: I love the children have their own cubby in each classroom and that each child has his/her own crib when they begin in the infant room. I really like this because if a child has an allergy/sensitivity (like my children do), he/she is being placed in the appropriate area to reduce outbreaks. All classrooms have age-appropriate toys that are being rotated to foster stimulation for the children and they introduce different sensory time to introduce new things to the children. I love how spacious the classrooms are as well. The children are taken outside and there is also a gym which allows for the children to burn off energy when it is too cold to go outside. 5. Cleanliness: The center is always clean. Each night every classroom is picked up, vacuumed, mopped, wiped down, etc. and all toys are cleaned each evening as well. I also like that the children get involved in picking up activities after they are finished, which has helped us with getting our son involved in picking up his toys at home. He loves singing the "Clean Up" song!6. Staff: I know that my children are well taken care of and loved every day. The owners and staff have done a wonderful job since day one of notifying us whenever an issue arises and always answer questions/inquiries we have about their care. It is also comforting to parents that the owners' children also attend Little Red. I love how all of the teachers know my children, regardless of whether or not they are in their rooms. I also love how active both Holley and Nicci are in the day-to-day activities in the classrooms. 7. Transition of Care: I love how Little Red sends children to "visit" when they are preparing to move each child up to the next classroom. I think it is wonderful the kids get to experience the change in intervals, rather than cold-turkey. It is also communicated to the parents when the children will begin this transition and both Holley, Katerina, and Nicci encourage questions from the parents regarding the changes.Overall, my children are thriving at Little Red and love going there. We would highly recommend for parents to check them out!
