Lighthouse Bar & Grill

This is a staple neighborhood bar in NW Omaha. I like that no matter what time of day you come in, it's pretty dark. But this helps be able to watch 10 sports games at a time. The last two times I've been I've had the same server, and she is ON TOP OF IT! She's super attentive, even when busy and makes sure we're taken care of. Its a good meeting spot for my girlfriend and I, and it's fun to catch up over big beers. This last time we came in on a Sunday and their drink specials are good! $3 mixed drinks - I tried a hurricane. I couldn't taste much of the alcohol so I guess it's on the weaker side. Otherwise, it's a great place to get a burger, beer, and catch the game.

Our continued search for a Taco Tuesday spot close to home brought us to the Lighthouse in a strip mall on the Northwest corner of Maple and 156th. We have visited the Lighthouse near Tiburón but for some unknown reason we were not aware of this location. Located in the far west corner of the strip mall the Lighthouse is easy to miss unless you frequent the preschool or other neighboring business offices.On a Tuesday evening there was one booth left, we grabbed it, and an assortment of open tables. Our waitress provided menus and drinks quickly and gave us a little time to look over the menu. We both ordered two crispy $1.50 beef tacos, and shared a basket of chips and salsa. The salsa tasted like a canned variety but the chips were warm and thin like we like them. Our tacos were good--although both of mine cracked down the middle on my first bite spilling out most of the filling. My husband had better luck with little to no breakage. Mine ended up being more of a taco salad--but I like taco salad. Our server was great--friendly, quick and knowledgeable! We were only five minutes from home. Our food was good and our drinks were cold. Not a bad combination for a warm Taco Tuesday!

Lighthouse burgers are incredible! Our server recommended the Buffalo burger. I wasn't really in the mood for a Buffalo burger but she had me sold. I'm glad I ordered it! The burger was grilled in Buffalo sauce. It had so much flavor and it was topped with cheese and ranch! It was amazing!! I'm definitely going back for another. I usually go for the thin crispy French fries but their crinkle fries were soooooo good. Golden and crispy and full of flavor and not dry or too much potatoes. Most importantly the ranch was great! Like Runza level great!

Their steak dinner was absolutely delicious!! Cooked perfect, fries were perfect and dinner roll very fresh!! Will definitely become a regu

I love a good dive bar for a good Burger.. Tonight after spending some time with friends a group of us decided to stop here and have a night cap.. Many of us had not had dinner so we decided to order off the menu.. Great selection and the amount of food you get for the money is crazy. We all commented on how great the food tasted as well is food tasted as well as the quantity of food that we received we received.I am not sure how I've missed this place in the past, but I know it will be on my list in the future.

Great food and always busy! Specials are good, and beer is cold. Give 'em a try and you won't be disappointed

Good bar food, general bar atmosphere. We had dinner and drinks here. The food all came out hot and was tasty. The service was friendly although sometimes slow.

i was very excited to try after seeing so many advertisements on FB. My first time there I went to the bathroom and it was disgusting. If the bathroom was that bad I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I'm a no thank you!

We live close and make Lighthouse a regular for takeout and quick dinners. Their food is fantastic and the staff are amazing. Great prices and great food.

We ate at the 132nd & Center location for lunch on a Taco Tuesday. It's a typical sports bar vibe with lots of TV screens. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. The prices were good. The $3.50 Margaritas tempted us and we ordered a lime one "on the rocks". My expectations were low, yet it didn't even meet that. They were simply awful and undrinkable. Neither of us drank our margarita. There was no flavor and no detectable alcohol. We complained to the waitress and she apologized and said she would tell the bar, but wouldn't take them off the bill. We ordered tacos and I tried both the crispy beef taco and the beef soft shell taco. They were just MEH. The taco sauce came in the foil packets like Taco Bell's but not nearly as good. The best part of the meals was the onion rings we ordered on the side. They were huge, hand breaded and just plain good. I can't recommend Lighthouse for meals. It might be alright to watch a game, drink a beer, and eat onion rings.
