We appreciated all the other yelp reviews and based on the yelp reviews decided to have dinner at Leeward steak House. My husband ordered A wonderfully prepared steak. I ordered the wrong thing ordering chicken fried steak. I did not love the gravy. I did love Cheerful service and I did love that our waitress told us she always got the steak that my husband got. I love that they treat their staff so well.

Leroy's is a small town steak house. No frills or fancy place settings. I did not care for the gravy on my chicken fried steak, but my boyfriend Loved his steak. With the exception of the gravy everything served to us was well made. The staff was great. Prices could be better, but are not out of line. We will return.

Small town family steakhouse now named Leroy's Steakhouse. The best part of Leroy's is the friendly, attentive service and decent prices. The food is fairly good although a few details would make for a better experience. We had sirloins, country-fried steaks, burgers and seafood platters; all good with no complaints. The issues we had were with sides and appetizers. Mashed potatoes were instant and the skimpy size of an ice-cream scoop. Country gravy was tepid, yet tasty and a tad scant for the serving. Canned green beans in the tired old cream-of-mushroom soup sauce were bland. Sautéed mushrooms were canned and not sautéed near long enough to get beyond that rubbery texture. The onion rings were the highlight of the appetizers. Next time we'll get two orders! The breaded ravioli and breaded mushrooms were the basic frozen from a bag variety and nothing special, but more disappointing was the very small portions. The breaded ravioli I get at the grocery store is twice the size of these miniature offerings. And gone are the days of a basket of fried mushrooms, just a small plate.Overall a good meal though. I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try if in the area.

They do what they intend. . No table cloth, paneling in the walls with antique farm implements, and Nebraska photos on the wall lake the decor. The service is as friendly as others have noted. My husband had the shrimp, I had the steak sandwich. The bar is more of a place to pick up takeout rather than a bar....three stools and a few tables in the bar area.Look at the menu. Steaks, chicken, vegetarian, and fish are all there. It has a friendly small town feel, and the food was delicious. Nothing fancy on the menu, just good food.

Leroy's has a fun, family atmosphere, broad menu, and I can see why it has a regional draw! Excellent service from Lynn and the team tonight, too. I came to try a steakhouse-style burger, but switched to tacos because it was Mexican Thursday. Outstanding experience!!

I am a fan of road tripping to find good food at small, local establishments throughout Southeast Nebraska. I'd heard that the steaks at Raw Hide were great, so we made the trip from Lincoln. The decor is, shall we say, old school. I haven't seen this much fake wood paneling since 1981. But the place is fairly clean and every one of the employees was exceedingly nice. So far, so good. I ordered the large slab of prime rib (rare) for $19. My girlfriend ordered fried chicken. My steak was was melt-in-your-mouth tender and very rare, just the way I like it. It also had very good flavor. The fried chicken was exceedingly dry. So dry that it was hard for her to choke down, even with a lot of iced tea. I wouldn't make the trip just to eat here, but if happened to be in the area, the steak is definitely worth another go-around.

Leroy's is a wonderful small town steak house that retains all of the qualities that Nebraska steak houses are known for. Simple but pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and maybe one of the best Filet Mignon's within 50 miles of Omaha. Their portions are generous and their prices are fair - the steaks are delicious! If you're near Leroy's in North Bend, do yourself a favor and and give them a try. If you're looking for a reason to get out of Omaha and try something new ..... they're worth the drive.

This was our first visit. The filet was tender and delicious! We sat in the small bar area to eat because it was the dinner hour and it was crowded. It took awhile to get our drinks because for all the people this place seats, there was only one guy bartending. (The bar is teeny, but someone needs to help you out man!) A gal who was standing by him kept talking to him, sometimes asking for drink orders from people sitting and waiting for a table, and sometimes not. We couldn't figure out what her role was. With her back to us all talking to the bartender again, a couple sitting next to us waited and waited just to be acknowledged, and weren't, so they got up and left. All up front appeared to not care. Without skipping a beat, menus were put down and another couple seated. A new waiter came out of nowhere and helped them right away.

It's now called LeRoy's - and they've put a little more effort into how the place looks - so it's much easier on the eyes. Great prime rib - you can't miss with the prime rib. They run periodic specials - e.g. taco night, or 50's night - where the prices are astonishingly low. As for the other reviewers comments: Sides - the green beans are always canned - stick to the mostacholi (which will be a tad overdone, but it's fine...it's not an Italian restaurant). Baked potato is going to be more satisfying to the pallet than the mashed. Or go crazy and get the fries. Not known for it's desserts (they appear to be trying to expand the selections here) but the coffee is always good. Remember, it's a steak place. Stick to what they're good at.

Just visited the Raw Hide for the first time. Its a cute, friendly, typical small town restaurant with a well stocked bar and tasty food. Our large group had a nice time in a spacious dining area and everyone enjoyed their meals. Steaks and prime rib were very good and the cole slaw, hash brown potatoes, and onion rings were super yummy. Nothing fancy about it but comfortable enough especially for a big group and families.
