Legend Comics & Coffee

My husband is a huge nerd (in the best way) so we knew we had to make our way to the new Legend Comics location in Benson.The shop is super well laid out and not cluttered and hard to shop, like a few other comic/collectible places we have been.As soon as we walked in, the attendants behind the register were so excited to welcome and help us find anything we needed. They came out to answer questions, and helped my husband find key issues he wanted (so we left with a lot of loot LOL)Aside from all the great comics, they also have collectibles, like plushies, Funkos, figurines etc. as well as a little spot for kids to play while their parents shop.They are called Legend Comics and COFFEE, and I was more interested in the coffee than the comics so I stopped in to the cafe while my husband perused everything.I got the Golden Caramel Latte, and it was extra delicious - not too sweet but still a little hint of the caramel to give you that sweet taste.My husband wanted to get a drink that was chocolatey, but without coffee. I asked the barista at the coffee shop if they had anything like that, and he actually made me something special on the spot. It was a frozen chocolate milk, and my husband went wild for it. I don't think it's on the menu, and was made impromptu, but you may be able to ask for that, if you want to try!There is a lot of seating at the cafe and also around the comic shop, including little benches, if you want to sit and pore over your potential purchases or if you're waiting for someone to finish shopping. Even though we spent way too much money here, I definitely recommend it if you're a comic collector/lover, as they have so many things to explore (both in comics and coffee) and you may find something new you love!

Legend is by far my favorite coffee spot in Omaha, it is also by far the best Comic shop. The fact that it is simultaneously both of these things makes it one of my favorite places in town. This new location has taken everything great about the prior spots and turned it up to 11.

This place is the neatest (as in neat & clean) and most organized comic book store & coffee shop I've ever been to. So pretty that you almost didnt want to touch anything. Almost... ;) lol. And, I've been to comic book shops, all over the world. The associate on the comic side wasn't really helpful/attentive to the patrons, but thank goodness for the barista, on the café side, because she made up for everything, with her friendliness. :)

I really like this little spot! It's a great place to catch up with friends, read a book, or study for a test. Every time I have been in here, it is fairly quiet. The room is not very big. There are about eight tables to the room. I also think each table sits about two people. For me, I would not be as inclined to meet here because it is very quiet and better for studying. It is dark inside, so be sure and bring a little light from your laptop! So, if you want an interesting place to to sip coffee, read comics, or study for an exam, this would be a nice spot.

Legends don't die.The first time I went to legends comics I was super pumped that there would be a comic shop in my general midtown area. Legends has a nice clean sleek look and design. I am glad that they have upgraded and moved to an even better current location and added a coffee shop. They have a nice selection of current and vintage comics. G.I. Joe fans rejoice because this location also sells some but not too many vintage toys as well, mostly G.I. Joe figures and vehicles. I have found some super cool limited prints of Comic Trade Paperbacks here as well including a large numbered Mousegaurd book autographed by the artist himself. Everything In the store seems to have a fluid and flowing route throughout the building. Well Done.

Great place for coffee and comic lovers alike! Welcoming atmosphere and kind employees definitely made this a must-go whenever we are in the area. They have a huge selection of comics and graphic novels! Thanks Legends!

We visit Omaha regularly and recently discovered this gem of a store. They were knowledgeable, passionate, and wonderful to talk to. I appreciated their large selection of indie comics!
