Lefty O'Toole's

Stopped in for a couple beers and to watch the game while in the area. The peanuts on the tables was a nice bonus. It was early on a Saturday and service was kind of slow. Did even realize we had a waitress for our table until we had been there for quite some time and by the time we were ready for another drink we hadn't seen her in a while so went to the bar to get it ourselves. Lots of screens and lots of seating that accommodates large groups so bring your friends! No food but you can order pizza from next door and they will give you a buzzer to let you know when its ready. However the menu posted didn't have prices

Drinks and the environment are great!We enjoyed some dancing and well made cocktails

Upbeat atmosphere, every sports game playing, slightly up priced drinks, and limited seating. This sports bar is perfect for people who want to watch a couple games or even just one big game. They have some fun unique drinks like a Tito's monster slushie or rum or vodka buckets. Retrospectively these were about $8-$12. They do not have food but you can go to Rocco's next door to order something to go.

AWFUL bartenders. Don't come here unless you want to be completely ignored and be sassed by the bartenders when you ask if they can put the Nebraska game on. Yes -- you read that correctly -- who refuses to put on Nebraska football on game day in Omaha, Nebraska?!? I am a non-confrontational person, but that doesn't matter at this bar. If you ask them nicely to put on the game, next thing you know you will hear them talking crap about you to another bartender not realizing you had moved to the seat in front of them. On top of all of this, the drinks are weak and not cheap enough to ignore the fact that they are weak. Bottom line -- go somewhere else.

Typically go to this bar in the summer due to the outdoor/indoor atmosphere. Lefty's has personable and friendly bartenders who make sure you find a drink you enjoy. They have an array of beers on tap, along with a cider. Lefty's also has rum buckets and Red Bull slushees which are both fun and refreshing. Lefty's is your typical sports bar where you will be able to cheer on your favorite team, as they have plenty of TV's. Lefty's does not have food although there are restaurants in the area (Blatt, Roccos, Hook & Lime) which you could order take out.

I enjoyed sitting near the open garage doors watching the crowds pour out of the stadium during the CWS. Overall though there's nothing special about this place. Just a sports bar in a great location during this time of year.

**As of 05/16/16 NO LONGER dog friendly inside. ** we were recently there and politely asked to leave with our dog. Not sure if the rules changed or they've run into health code issues but alas, you can't bring your dog along anymore. This is bummer because for me, that was the main attraction. Now they're just another bar in my neighborhood.

Another sports bar for Omaha. Seems like a good fit for North Downtown. Almost as if it's catered specifically for the College World Series crowds. And trust me, this relatively small bar will be jam-packed with people during the CWS.The layout is simple. It has a big, wooden bar, 24 taps and a decent selection of locals and domestics. I enjoyed a giant mug of pilsner for less than $5. That's a good deal. The whiskey selection is decent, but I'd like to see a few more higher end Scotches. No idea if they have any signature cocktails. No drink menus either (maybe they have them but we weren't offered one nor were they sitting on the bar).There are giant Guinness and Jameson murals on either side that are less art and more advertisement. I hope they're getting a bunch of free product for that.In all, a decent addition to the neighborhood. Still, there's nothing very unique or special about Lefty's. But maybe it'll grow into a comfy go-to spot in the future. Either way, they're off to a good start.

The service at this bar alone keeps me and my roommates coming back. All of the staff are extremely respectful and make us feel at home. The drinks go down like golden water and they have more TV's playing sports than an electronics store. Highly recommend to anyone in town.

Unbelievably rude staff. Treated my friends and I like criminals when we walked in to their mostly empty bar and scowled at us when we ordered drinks. We planned to stay here for the evening but got our one drink and left to go to a bar where we wouldn't be treated so poorly. If I were the manager I'd fire the terrible bartenders that were here and move on.
