If you're looking for interesting Americana, this is the place. Lee spent his life traveling the world gathering all types of Marbles... antique, hand blown, glow in the dark, etc. Michael was very helpful explaining all the differences & backgrounds. We were glad we stopped!

If there's an obscure museum . . . . I'm there! The history of these little round pieces of glass/ceramic/stone/even hollow steel has always interested me (seriously). I was the second person to sign the guest book here many years back and I try to stop by whenever I'm back in Nebraska. From the handmade glass to the painted china to the more modern cat's eye, they each have their unique place in history reflecting what's going on in the country. This is the place to see some fantastic and rare examples of these little spheres. And if you're lucky Lee will be there himself to tell you how he ended up with so many. It is disappointing to see how over the years much of what used to be exhibits has been cleared out to make room for antiques for sale. In fact it it has changed from an actual museum to an antique store that also has a marble display, and most of them are for sale . . . . but it's still a really cool place to look around. It's only a couple of minutes off I-80 so why not stop for a few minutes?

Outstanding collection of possibly a million marbles, plus some very valuable collector marbles!Over 1300 quart jars of 250 marbles apiece line the shop's walls. Incredible displays of all things marble including uranium ones. Many are for sale. Great knowledgeable staff.

Fun little stop if you are needing to stretch your legs and want to see something more unique than another gas station. Lee was there when we visited and was really friendly and told us quite a bit about his marble collection. The German marbles from the 1800s were some of my favorites. Evidently he has more marbles outside of the main shop and has the biggest collection in the world.Along with the many different collections he has a lot of marbles in varieties for sale. Sports teams, characters, traditional sets, etc. The back of the house is a small antiques store with lots of collectables for those not as interested in marbles (but the marbles are seriously cool).

This is one of those places we read about on RoadsideUSA and figured we would stop by if we had the time. It's a combination of a collector's display and collectible store; some of the items in the display cases are for sale, and others are part of the owner's personal collection. All around the perimeter of the rooms are quart size jars full of assorted marbles. Other items on display or for sale included Fenton glass, lighters, toys, records, books and magazines. Outside were more antiques and miscellaneous items. Their official open time is 10 AM but a sign on the door says to come in if someone is there earlier (and when we visited, there was!). It was only a couple miles out of our way, and unless you are a marble or toy aficionado, you probably won't find it worth driving too much more than that.

We love stopping to see all the wonderful treasures. We collect marbles and always find a few special one to buy for our collection. We travel often between WI and CO and this is a "must stop" for us. Not fancy from the outside but a wonderful place.

Tiny little shop, looks a little sketchy from the outside, but the sheer number of marbles both for sale and on display certainly made this a worthwhile stop near the town of York, Nebraska. Lee and Michael were both helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter knows a bit about newer marbles and Michael even brought some to her for her to identify, which made her day. I highly recommend this shop for the glass orb addict in your life.

If you ever find yourself in York, Nebraska, make sure to check out the Marble Museum. There are enough marbles here to fill a warehouse and some of them are 200 years old. Some of them are radioactive. He will definitely find a nice gift for all of your favorite friends and family. Make sure to check out the meat store across the parking lot.

This collection is amazing. I have been searching for marbles and finally found just what I was looking for. The owner and collector was out of state at a marble conference. Michael was the staff on duty, he was welcomimg and knowledgeable. I recommend this stop if you are in the York area.
