Our first attempt to walk into Lee Douglas was railroaded by our perception that this business was more consulting than furniture; consulting/designing wasn't what we needed. So we bypassed it and went into The Loft around the corner! (Read my review on The Loft. An amazing place that I just want to soak in!)At the Loft we were referred to Lee Douglas, "if you love us, step next door to our sister company and be amazed". So we walked around the corner and into an amazingly well set up space. Usually furniture stores are wide open spaces with scads of couches, chairs etc that one has to pull their creativity together. At Lee Douglas they stage furniture that provides a homey comfort feel. The furniture is beautiful and unique. Clients do have the opportunity to customize with the wide variety of fabrics, colors and they have wallpaper. The real gem is with Brenda!! She was fabulous!! She has a warm greeting meeting us as we walked in. Asked great questions and shared some wonderful guidance. The only reason this is not a 5 star rating is that we haven't actually purchased anything yet to assess the quality after some use. However I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next piece from them! Recommend you stop in and ask for Brenda. She won't disappoint!!

I went to the Omaha store and the selection and service was amazing. I had looked around Nebraska Furniture Mart prior to stopping by Lee Douglas Interiors and at NFM I wasn't approached by one salesman even though I observed many sitting and talking amongst themselves. The prices at both stores are comparable but the one thing that doesn't compare is the knowledge and service that Lee Douglas provides. I had recently purchased a home near Elkhorn and needed to pick up a few items. I stopped in and was immediately greeted by a sales representative who was able to intelligently answer all my questions about my design needs. I ended up purchasing a few items but will soon be back to fully furnish my new home. I am thankful that I found Lee Douglas because they have taken away the headache of the new move and with their knowledge and assistance.

This review is long over due - we have worked with Lorele and Lee Douglas for many many years. The most positive thing I can review is how they treat customers- Lorele gave us the same attention and fantastic service from when we bought our very first house to building our dream home many years later - that matters and says so much about her attitude and character. The attention to detail - Lorele wants you to LOVE your home - she goes above and beyond to ensure she captures your style and that it makes sense with your lifestyle. The team at Lee Douglas is top notch. We look forward to creating more amazing rooms and adding to our home for years to come!

We have done several projects with Lee Douglas that have ranged from small, to building a new home, to a total home remodel. They take the time to get to know us, understand our budget, and our vision of how we wanted to make a house our home. They are the total package with their services helping with floor plan designs, to the construction process and having a working relationship with contractors, to all the interior design and finishing touches that made our home complete. We get many complaints on our home and how it is unique and custom yet functional. Would highly recommend Lee Douglas interiors if you're looking to make your home something special!

I absolutely loved working with LDI! Lorele has great ideas and works within my personal style. One thing I really liked about designing the house was the selection process of backsplash, countertops, flooring, knobs, lighting etc. I was so thankful I did not have to go to the tile store and look through backsplash after backsplash trying to find something I liked. All I had to do was show up at LDI and Lorele had every backsplash, countertop, and tile floor for the bathrooms presented to me in a table ready to go! There were several I was not crazy about so she pulled a few more examples until I found one I loved. Picking the cabinet knobs and lighting they sent me an email with different examples and I easily picked my selections. At times I requested to see more examples and they were quick to respond to my requests. The cabinet process was the same way. We met at the store, discussed what we wanted the layout to look like and then she took us through what they thought would look best for our style. We looked at other options as well just to make sure we didn't want something else, but Lorele knows us well and picked out the best options. We were out of there in about an hour and had all the cabinets picked out for the entire house! Now that is what I call efficiency! If you are like me and want your home to look beautiful use LDI. They have fresh ideas, are creative, responsive to your needs, and make the inside of your home look like one of a kind. I never felt rushed to make a decision but loved the fact that they did all the hard work and all I had to do was say yes or no :) Best experience ever!

The details make the design, and that is the philosophy of Lee Douglas Interiors. In 2014, a friend recommended Lee Douglas Interiors to help me redecorate the interior and exterior of my house, which my grandparents had built and lived in for 40 years. I was nervous because I had never used a designer, but we discussed my likes and dislikes, and what made me feel happy. The result was that they transformed a 1,200 square foot, modest 1959 ranch house (with a badly designed breezeway/garage addition) into an Old World European cottage that I absolutely love. They hire experienced and talented subcontractors, which was a huge relief to me, and use quality materials and furnishings. They are always friendly and available and ready to listen to my ideas. And a most important thing is that I trust them, and feel that they have my best interests at heart and do everything they can so that I will love my home. This wonderful experience has been life-changing, and they have taught me so much. They believe that all components are important to the overall design of a home; from a couch pillow to a roof. I am still consulting with them for advice on little touches here and there.

LDI was the worst experience with building our new house. We are not the kind of people that would use a service like this because of budget but a friend recommended them so I though why not see what they could do. They said working in a budget was no problem and we moved forward picking flooring and lighting. I was clear on what our budget was and the lighting came in 4x over budget. I specifically stated I was looking for lights around $100 and majority of the lights proposed were around $440. This came with only 48hrs left before I was to have an electrical inspection so I had to spend an entire day looking for lighting so I could get it to my electrician so we had enough time before the inspector came. I was offered no apology, mostly just told I was not clear enough on our budget. We had picked out flooring that I really liked and they had a copy of our contractors bid and total budget for flooring so I figured that would work out, after all they had this infront of them while we were picking out flooring and we discussed it. Deadlines were not met and when the flooring bid came in it was $27,000 over budget. I was upset after what had happened with the lighting and sent e-mails that expressed my serious concerns, frustration, and requested immediate contact. They were not "nice" e-mails as I was very upset and under the circumstances, I thought they were appropriate and professional expressing frustration and disappointment. What I received was a phone call from Lorele "yelling" at me the next morning. She behaved in the most inappropriate way and went so far as to call my friend that had given me the recommendation and involve them. I could not believe this and what she told them was not even what I had said. Who would do this, completely and totally unprofessional and inappropriate. This is the worst and "weirdest" experience I have had with a business of this caliber! After all this I said I was not going to pay the hours for consultation because what I was given was nowhere close to the budget I had given them and I wasted a lot of time, energy, and money and was given nothing useful in return. Lorele excepted absolutely no accountability nor responsibility for any of the situation, instead blamed my contractor and myself and said if I did not pay the 3-4 hours of consultations "I can deal directly with her collection agency". This is the kind of character you will be dealing with at LDI. What happened to customer service and the customer is always right? They will look you right in the eye and tell you exactly what you want to hear. Its all about the money. If you have an unlimited budget and money is of no concern, you will probably get along just fine. If not, I would not waste your time!
