First, Las Clementinas is an hotel but as well a restaurant. Beautiful building. We did try the restaurant for drinks, but they have brunchs and serve as well dinner. Nice quality café/bistro style in Casco Viejo. So strange that it appears here, while technically Yelp doesn't exist in Panama, lol ! We had delicious fresh mango juice, after walking in old Panama Ciy, it was place to relax and sit down. You will like it too. Nice decoration, service ok, prices ok, free wifi + credits cards accepted. 4/5 visited in January 2016

I chose to stay here in December 2018 because I had been to Panama City a couple years earlier and had a good meal at the hotel's restaurant. Unfortunately on my return the restaurant had turned into a beer bar, with no food. So don't plan on eating here, though you can find some decent restaurants in walking distance. As a place to stay (I stayed a few nights) it was a mixed bag: the room was nicely renovated and chic. But the many people living in the ramshackle building across the street partied all night my first night, blowing up firecrackers until 4 AM. The next night, though, it was quiet. So it's a bit of a grab bag. If you are a hardy sleeper you can take your chances here.

One of the most consistent restaurants in the Casco Viejo neighborhood. It is the first choice of my "go out for dinner" group. For many years they were solid, and then changed to a trendy tapas menu for a few years. When we learned that they recently returned to their normal menu of appetizers snd main dishes, we rushed back, and continue to appear there on Tuesdays. Whatever you order will be good, great cocktails, comprehensive wine list - enjoy!

Not the first time I stay here, I'm in live with this beautiful hotel and it's convenient location. Las Clementine is located in, what is in my opinion the nicest area in Panama City, the Panama city's old quarter. It is surrounded by Panama's historical buildings, outstanding local and international cuisine and is just minutes walk from the Museo Del Canal (Panama Canal Museum). The hotel itself has a nice rooftop lounge, you should definitely check it out if you want to see the most beautiful view in Panama. There is a restaurant located at the first floor, I love the food here and wouldn't skip a meal. Though the restaurant doesn't serve breakfast anymore, lunch and dinner are still being served. The staff here is both Spanish and English speaking and, since I like finding the local spots that tourists usually don't get to go to, I always ask the staff here for recommendations. So far I've had a lot of luck discovering a lot of interesting places and great food off the beaten path thanks to them.

Our room was absolutely beautiful. However, I was surprised that it just didn't feel that clean. And then the mystery was revealed...housekeeping is not included in the price. We payed over $250 per night and were then told we would need to pay extra to have the room cleaned. I didn't ask how much. I think I was too shocked. I have never heard of this, and furthermore, this was not indicated when I made the reservation. I'll end with a positive which is that location is very good and the room we had was beautiful (as was the bathroom).

My wife and I stayed here for two days after a Panama Canal cruise. Very nice, older hotel with big rooms including living rooms and kitchens in most of the rooms. We stayed in room 2. Now for the problem. The occupants of the building across the street decided to play their "music" at levels that would rival an outdoor concert! I'm not kidding. That noise (I won't call it music) was so loud, we could not carry on a conversation in our room. The "music" lasted until after 3:00 AM! With the police department next door, one would think that would not be allowed. NOT THE CASE! Per the front desk, they play that music at those levels every Friday and Saturday night. The front desk also claimed they can do nothing about it. Absolutely do NOT stay here on Friday or Saturday night.
