Lakeshore Country Club

This was a hidden gem to be sure. I think it's actually called Council Bluffs country club now. Sits right on the lake Manawa with a pleasant view of the water from the dining room.In-laws belong to the club so we went for a birthday dinner. They have a range of menu items from bar food to more elegant dishes. We ordered a wide range of things and everything was prepared in excellent fashion. Very large portions using fresh ingredients.I was definitely taken off guard as the Decour is a little dated and there were no reviews, so my expectations were low going in. My only regret is I didn't ask to meet the kitchen staff who surprised the heck out of me.

So I will comment on just the pool, but we have a great time every time we are there. Becky and Dave are the absolute best and take care of you every time you are there.

The food is always spectacular. Had. 16oz porterhouse, with pasta. Their salad bar has improved. Dessert, tuxedo cake, was delish.
