This upscale tiki bar strikes a great balance between tropical flair and sophistication. The ambiance is relaxing, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The drinks are top-notch, crafted with high-quality ingredients, and attention to detail. I ordered a classic piña colada (fyi, I requested it to be non-frozen and the kind bartender agreed!), which was excellent and refreshing. Laka Lono is perfect for catching up with friends or coworkers, especially around the holidays when their decor adds an elevated touch!

My husband and I wandered in here on a Saturday evening around 7pm for a little pre-dinner drinks. It had been years since I'd been here and I love a good tiki drink, so it was an easy choice! The picking a cocktail was the much harder part because everything sounded delicious.We sat at the bar to watch them work and craft the cocktails and I asked for one of the bartender's assistance in picking a cocktail between the Saturn and Cat's Pajamas. After hearing his description of their flavors, I ended up choosing the Cat's Pajamas and it was amazing! It's a clarified punch that was just so well-balanced in terms of flavor. It was a little sweet, but very full-bodied, and warm (not in temperature). I savored every single drop and am looking forward to going back to have this again and try something new as well!

I love this place and I love that it's right under Clio so you can have a fun dinner and fun drinks after. We went on a weeknight so it wasn't too busy but it gets really busy on the weekends. I love the tiki decor it's a really huge space and it's all completely decorated. It feels like bar in a much bigger city. I got the Head Games and it was so good it tasted like a coffee dessert but it wasn't too weak. The bartender was so nice and hilarious. 10/10 experience.

A unique hidden gem in downtown Omaha. This place is giving speakeasy x tiki bar vibes and has an extensive menu of creative, fun, and tasty cocktails, many of them involving fire! Many of the drinks are also served in fun glasses. The decors and lighting in the bar makes you feel like you're underwater. It's pretty spacious compared to some other speakeasies, but can get busy on weekends, so without a reservation, it can be hard to get a table.

How did I not know this place existed?! Laka Lona, underneath Clio in the Old Market, is a fantastic bar I tried for the first time this weekend. As you walk down the stairs to the bar, you're greeted by a giant funky octopus, which appropriately sets the mood for the rest of your experience. The entire bar is decorated in tropical themed decor with fantastic tropical/beachy drinks served up promptly by wonderful bar tenders. It was a bit busy when we arrived but we were able to find some space after a bit. My drink was delicious and everyone else in my group enjoyed theirs as well. I certainly plan to come back!

If you're planning on getting a seat here, make sure you get there a little earlier than you think! The underground tiki bar with fun colors and lots of decor brings in the crowds. The menu contains a wide variety of signature drinks and a decent amount of tasty food! The staff is very conscientious of allergies if you let them know ahead of time! We noticed within our visit that the larger group drinks have music associated with it when it's brought out! This place has a little something for everyone!! Definitely a place to go to see something a little different. Our party highly recommends the wontons as a little night snack!!

Fun place with very fun ambiance and vibe. Service is great . You have to go here when visiting Omaha.food was very tasty and served right away.

The servers seem to have a lot of fun at the bar. They are fun and excited to talk about the menu. The one concern was the server had his shrimp pile sitting on the bar eating it while serving food and drinks. Hewas sucking his finger after tearing the meat out of the tail. Very messy. And he did not wash his hands after slobbering all over his hands when grabbing straws and serving plates or garnishing drinks. So cleanliness was a concern. Lots of coughing from the staff and hard mucus snorts.We did try the food and drink dispute tall the bodily fluids all over. It was good

Love this place! Always my hidden Omaha gem to show off to people visiting. Never too busy but stays full and fun!
