DO NOT book! This place is HORRIBLE! I rented two rooms for my family and another family member. First walked into the lobby it appears clean with bright lights and colorful furniture. They placed us on the 4th floor. Right off the elevator it was dark and gloomy, a total opposite from floor one. Kept walking and the wall colors reminded me of a scary movie asylum with that greenish-mint color through out the hallways. We walked into the studio room and there was a huge jacuzzi tub that had 2 strands of hair in it. Yuk! Never went near that. Next the bed had a dead fly on the bed which was probably because the window was left slightly open and the bed also had a strand of long hair on the bed near the pillows. The small blue velvet couch had pillows that had white stains on them which I really didn't want to know where that came from so we threw them on the floor behind the couch. We used the couch to hold our luggage and not for seating. The room was so dark I had to use my phone light to look in my suitcase. There was only two little bedside table lights, a small desk light, the dim jacuzzi light, the light near the door and the bathroom light. Because we were already there and it was late we decided to stay. Around midnight the fire alarm went off. I went to try and call the front desk and the phone didn't work. The other room with 2 queen beds the bathroom lights went out and we couldn't figure out why. I was too tired from traveling all day we said forget it and went to sleep. Next morning told the receptionist about everything I mentioned above and she said oh sorry sometimes people smoke in their rooms and we have to find them and turn the alarm off. She also said that they have a new phone system being installed and some rooms have working phones and some don't. For the broken bathroom light she was going to send the engineer. We were gone all day came back in the evening and lights weren't working still in the other room. Told the receptionist lights are still not working and I would like another room. She said hold on went around the corner and talked to someone. They said the breaker isn't working and they went up to check. Apparently a switch that had no sign to keep on was turned off and that was the reason bathroom lights didn't work. I said ok my fault thank you and please have someone clean our rooms for the next day. She wrote it down on two pieces of paper and said I will let them know. Next day we attended the funeral came back to our rooms and they were not clean. Went down to tell the same lady from yesterday no one came to clean my rooms. She started looking for the little pieces of paper saying oh I'm sorry and attempted to get someone to go up there at 7pm to clean both rooms. I told her don't bother it's too late my family was taking a nap and she said oh so you don't want me to get someone up there to clean. I told her I did but for this morning and not at 7pm. Last night there in the studio room another fly on the ceiling and 4 lady bugs crawling on the ceiling and on the walls with the window closed. Probably from the crack above the window. We had a 6am flight so we said a few more hours and we will be out of this dungeon. We should have just cancelled and went somewhere else but this hotel charged the entire stay plus deposit from my card there was no refunds. So, I HIGHLY suggest DO NOT stay here unless you're ok with critters crawling on the ceiling, hair on the beds and in the tubs, stains, dark rooms at night and no cleaning service only upon request and never comes.

Our stay was not good at all!! The initial issue was that we found a half pack of cigarettes on the floor, as well as a used bar of soap in our room. Disgusting!! My 85 year old mom and I took the items from the third floor to the front desk. We were then given another room, but was a king sized bed. My reservation was for 2 double beds. We finally received a new room with the double beds. Each time we went to the front desk, there was never anyone there. I couldn't find a vending machine even though the sign on the first floor pointed to the space near the ice machine. There were no guides for the hotel or the city of Omaha. So that meant there was no channel guide for the tv. Or instructions for the alarm clock. The clock and the microwave were both set for an hour ahead. So at 5:00 am the next morning the alarm went off. The housekeepers need to reset the clocks and confirm that the alarm is off!!They were out of milk the next morning, so I had to add a little creamer to my bowl of cereal. The woman at the front desk checked, but no milk was available! We will NOT be staying here ever again!!!

The short distance from downtown and the Old Market makes this place the most economical way to stay near downtown. It's only $75 compared to $129+ of anything downtown. It was clean, good A/C, good water pressure, free wi-fi and a safe area - nothing within walking distance, but a short car or Uber ride to where you want to be. Also has pool and breakfast but I did neither. It also allows you stay in one of the USA's weirdest geo-oddities - Carter Lake, Iowa.

This location has definitely reversed my opinion of La Quintas. Having arrived at this location at 9:30 PM, all I wanted was to get to my room and sleep. However, I was told my pre-paid room was not available yet. They had at least ten people in the lobby waiting as well for their rooms. I left to get a bit to eat and came back two hours later. I managed to get a large room and fell into bed. Within an hour, the hotel staff tried to get into my room since they had no idea of who was booked into what rooms (as they told me the next day). Switchplates were missing, the room safe was beat up, paint splatters were on the floor, and basic amenities were absent. I was put on a floor that was undergoing renovations and never should have been occupied in that state. The TV never worked and was promised repairs on two different requests. No one came to look at it.

What's the beef anyway? The staff is so friendly and helpful. I have stayed in two different rooms in this place on two different occasions. Both rooms are perfect. Everything works, everything,. The towels are nice, the property is clean and nice. The internet works fine, the tv is fine, the beds are fine, and the pillows are perfect.well that is my take - come on in and enjoy the La Quinta deal. I liked it alot and would definitely come back.if there were problems in the past, they are in good shape now.

We've stayed here twice--largely because I didn't remembering staying here before and didn't read my own Yelp review! When posting my second review, at first I thought I must have posted it earlier and forgot because the experience was so similar. Both times I waited over 10 minutes before being helped at the front desk. The second stay I even called the hotel and the franchise before getting checked in. The first time we asked for another room because of the smoke smell was bad. When we asked for a nonsmoking room we were told the entire hotel was nonsmoking. This obviously was not enforced and when the role was broken they didn't clean rooms. The next morning we could smell fresh smoke in the hallway as well. The second stay we could smell smoke as soon as getting off the elevator as well. In our room, a previous guest had covered the smoke alarm with plastic and rubber bands. This is NOT safe and was not caught by the cleaning crew. There were many repairs needed including a broken shower rod the first stay and a broken elevator the second. We also had a lotion bottle that was damaged with a sharp edge that scratched me the first stay. The pool and exercise area look nice, but we didn't use them. The breakfast was decent. They have the make it yourself waffles, which were good. The biscuits and gravy were mixed. The gravy was okay but one of the biscuits was hard enough to break my fork trying to cut it. Other biscuits were fine. This place is obviously understaffed and in need of some repairs and closer attention to cleaning. There is some evident potential, but needs to be managed much better. I'm sure I will remember the experience after two that were not good. We won't stay here again.

THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED when we arrived. Although I made reservations directly with the front desk several weeks before, the hotel was closed for business. We booked the hotel because it was pet friendly. Upon arrival we found an empty parking lot, an alarm going off within the hotel, and a long hose running the length of the hotel. When we called the hotel the recording said it was closed due to covid. Now what?? There were other folks that came and were in the same situation as us. I called Wyndham and they recommended a sister hotel and changed our reservation to the Super 8 within a half mile. What a disaster that was. The hotel was disgusting (but that's a whole other review). We checked in there, then checked back out and had to search for another pet friendly hotel. What a disaster. Please do not book at this hotel and deal with the day we had.

If you love your kids do not stay here it is dangerous! No covers on the outlets and the elevator almost crushed my toddler. Thank God that my husband was there to manhandle it open. The tv was broken to boot!

My daughter booked a King Suite that would sleep 4. She booked directly through LaQuinta website. The website provided a description of the room including a king bed and a sofa bed, desk, TV, table and sitting area. It also advertised an indoor swimming pool. When we, 4 of us, arrived, we were informed the pool was 'closed for repair', had been closed for months and failed repeated inspection. The room did have a King bed but the sofa bed was a strange pull out thing that was slightly larger than a twin size bed. My 10 y/o grandson filled that bed. The room was generally shabby, torn carpet, poor sloppy painting, very cheap flimsy furniture. It was fairly clean but the bathtub had several dark curly hairs in the tub and on the bath mat draped on the side. My 5 y/o grandson missed his bath as a result. The young lady at the front desk was very apologetic and helpful. She indicated the property manager was aware of these issues. I'll not stay at a LaQuinta again.

Front desk and general staff were great. Breakfast was also excellent (included for free).Overall the room we stayed in was nasty. Stained towels, substances on the doors, and the ceiling right outside our door had a leak. The wallpaper and part of the roof had lost what was once clinging from it, and the pipe caused a big wet spot on the carpet. Not sure how maintenance missed this for 3 days straight (or cared to try to fix it). Also, the coffee machine in our room was not cleaned out before, so I advise not using them. Overall, management needs to be sure that they're making a good first impression with how everything looks.
