Very upsetting. When we first saw the sign on the door, it said that during school hours kids can not enter the store. I thought that was a little bit stupid. Then we enter the store and everything looked weird. My mom went to go buy a medicine there because she was sick and oh boy it was very expensive. Me and my friend also went with my mom and grandma and I saw bubble gum ice cream and I wanted it and my mom said yes and my friend wanted a bueno kinder bar and when we went to pay, they declined us because apparently we needed to spend more than 10 dollars in order for them to accept us. Then my mom told the cashier that she already spent 40 dollars at the pharmacy for the medicine and she still said no. We walked out of the store calling it stupid and we don't think we will ever be coming back to that stupid store. Please take consideration about your customers because after that experience I thought about what if a poor person wanted to buy something and they only had 5 dollars and they got declined and they would have to walk further to get food. They should really think about shutting down if they have super bad customer service.

I got rejected by the staff for not wearing a mask in the store today and it was a very bad experience. the guy was almost yelling at me saying that I needed to get out of the store or to buy a mask from them for a dollar. I think that was humiliating to me

I really like this little market. The people are really nice. They have a good selection of products. Its always important to know where to get my Ibarra chocolate. There is a small produce section but it has things you won't find at HyVee or Bakers: nopales being a standout. This is my go to spot for carnitas. I buy a pound (or 2) of carnitas, plus bean, rice, red & green salsa and my friends and we have a carnitas feast. Its really good, cheap & easy. They also make their own chorizo, which I've been meaning to try. I hope to try it soon & update my review.

Love this little shop. It's small, but unlike some of the larger stores, pretty much everything's imported, with products from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Argentina, and even Brasil sometimes. Lots of variety, great butcher counter, prepared foods in the back. You may get hit up by a panhandler in the parking lot once in a while; just ignore that. Tell 'em inside, they'll run him off.

Terrible customer service from a young cashier. I just can't deal with people rolling their eyes at a customer because they ask a question.

I'll be the first to review this which is a suprise to me. I love this place. It is a small hispanic market with prepared food in the back. The food is always fantastic. Everyday they usually have a different chile con carne or mole. Also, they have carnitas, enchiladas, tamales, salsas, flautas, etc. Everything is full of fresh flavors. It's a great way to experience homey Mexican. Go earlier in the day to make sure it's on the fresh side. The food is all rather rich, but if you skip the tortillas and rice, it is atkins friendly. There is no eating area, so bring utensils. Tons of people go to Jacobos down the street because it's right off the interstate, but I recommend you go a bit farther down to this place.
