As a longtime fan of La Casa on Leavenworth, it was time to try out the Westside version. It is bright and airy with a completely different feel than the original. And that is ok. The pizza didn't disappoint. I was really craving a calzone and they weren't on the menu. And that is ok. I will just drive East for one of those. This will be somewhere I visit again. I need to go when it is sunny so I can try out their patio.

My family had been going to La Casa forever at the OG location, but more recently we've been to the food truck and now to this West Omaha spot. Still just as good as the original recipes! The West Omaha location is bright and open feeling, with giant windows letting natural light in. A humungous mural of the La Casa mascot (Peppi) is painted on the wall that separates the main restaurant from the overflow/party room. The ordering process is akin to classic pizza places where you order at the front and get a number to have your food brought out to your table. Everything flows really well and we've never had any issues with our orders. The staff is always great and cheery, although on our last visit one youngster at the register called me "ma'am" which was my first time with that moniker LOLAs I already said, but will go into detail now - the food is right on par with the classic La Casa quality you are used to!I love getting the Toasted Raviolis as a starter, and they were excellent as always on our last visit. They were nice and toasty, unlike the rock hard/frozen toasted raviolis you get other places. We love the Cuddurini/Double Crust Pizza. It's a rolled/folded pizza with the fillings on the inside, so sort of similar to a Runza or Bierock style. They are tasty and super filling with all the ingredients in each bite that you take. Our favorite of the Cuddurinis is the Peppi's Potato. It's filled with potato and beef, which I love, but also onions - which I do not love. The onions though are cooked down so much that they are just there for flavor, and you can't perceive the weird onion texture at all. I'm a texture person and actually like the flavor of onions, just not the texture - so this is perfect for me. Their actual single sided pizzas are also great. I get the normal hamburger pizza, with black olives added. They use a same semi-sweet pizza sauce that gives it a really layered flavor. You have to like the thinner crunchy crust, but if you don't you can always get the Cuddurini style which has a thick baked crust on all sides!Aside from pizza, their Lasagnas are super good, too! Lasagna usually means the long strips of lasagna noodles, but this is more of a "pasta bake" with fusilli pasta encased in a cheese top layer. So delightful! The classic lasagna uses a sauce that has a sweet twinge to it, along with what tasted like Romano cheese - packing a flavorful and delicious punch. If you get the larger size of the lasagnas, they also reheat super well at home, so definitely keep your leftovers and ask for a lid for your little lasagna pan. Lastly, they also have a few desserts like cannolis, and my favorite - tiramisu. The tiramisu comes in little cups so you can eat it there in the restaurant or take it to-go and have the little cup of deliciousness at home.La Casa has been an Omaha institution forever, and I'm happy to report this newer West Omaha location keeps the excellent quality and service you have grown to love!

Loved the quick service, drinks available and the overall ambiance. It's also super close to our house so bonus points for that!

Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday eve! We were in /out in an hour. You order at the counter & they bring your food. Very nice guy! He was helpful. We started with onion rings & they were the best!! We followed those with a small chicken garlic something pizza & I loved it. Crispy thin crust. We also had some kind of meat combo & it was good as well. Pricy, but tasty!

La Casa has been a longtime favorite of mine. I have only started coming to the newest location within the last year or so. It is great not having to drive east of 84th street to satisfy my La Casa cravings. They might not be as fast as some other places, but they are consistent and predictable and always seem to provide good service along with some of the best pizza in town.

Went here for the first time last night and I'm thoroughly impressed by the design and layout of the interior, modern and inviting.Seems like a great place to bring a family with adequate lighting. Service was excellent- everyone was helpful and attentive. So why 3 stars??This place is STEEP. We went again last night as a family of 6 and got 2 appetizers, large pizza, couple side salads, and one pasta to share between 2 kids, plus 3 desserts and it was $100. The price for my plate of spaghetti and meatballs plus two slices of Rotella's bread and cold piece of butter was $20. Taste was fine and it has that "old school" vibe (ie sliced bread for the accompanying bread). The problem is the prices are "new school" and I would expect it to be organic meat or home made from scratch sauce. (And maybe it was! But certainly tasted like it came from a can)The pizza, however, was tasty and tasted exactly like the OG La Casa beef pizza. Maybe that was my problem, I strayed from what they're known for. This is definitely those "once in a while" places. Pasta was fine but I would much rather eat the spaghetti and meatballs at Pitch, or heck, even Olive Garden.

I haven't been to a La Casa in years, and drive past this location weekly. On a stormy Friday night my family stopped in for pizza. It's a super spacious area, and even has a party area in the back it appears. If the impending bad weather wasn't in the area, we would have sat outside on the big patio. We started with a big salad and I loved their italian dressing. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs for the kids to split. The meatballs are huge and hearty. We had plenty of leftovers which we ate the next day and still very good! Now, here is where my husband and I disagree. We got the Nostra pizza and I LOVED it, I love how thei diced the pepperonchini, vs whole or big chunks. It had so heat and the crust is super thin but crisped up nice. I thought it had amazing flavor, and he thought it was just okay. It is pricier for pizza, but that's been the normal. Also we got some drinks from the bar and for $7.95 they have a big pour for their wines and I enjoyed that. I would come back maybe with friends or for a work meeting.

Today my family tried La Casa West off Pacific. We do not go out to eat often so we were exited to try their pizza, obviously surprised by the price, but figured it must be fantastic to justify it. Needless to say we were underwhelmed, we ordered the Nostra and Veggie in their middle size. It's dubbed thin crust but I would describe it like bisquick (crumbly and crusty) and same with the bottom crust. I also ordered both cheeses and that didn't seem to make a difference either. It was literally the worst pizza I've had at a restaurant. $60 plus bucks down the drain. I'm bummed, but now we know.

2 weeks ago went for lunch, place was almost empty at noon. Ordered our pizza from the owner, he forgot to give us a number so waitress didn't know where to take the pizzas so she took them to the wrong table. After I told them what happened she took our pizzas off the TWO different tables she brought them to and gave them to us. Then she told us it wasn't her fault, well it wasn't ours. Absolutely against health department rules and she mixed our pizzas up. One of the managers offered to make us new but after waiting 20 minutes we didn't want to wait 20 more. Owner offered to comp only one of us and refused to agree to comp both.We will never return here, bad service, inconsiderate owner and over priced. There are a thousand others pizza restaurants to go to. Try Big Fred's or Sortinos.

The flavor is incredible, I recommend any of their pizzas, but make sure you get the Romano cheese! It seems like the price has went up as a lunch special was $15 for a personal Pizza salad and a small drink. It was not overly busy for lunch, but it took about 20 minutes to get my pizza. They need to put more pepperoni on the pizza, but the hamburger is loaded.
