La Bota II Mexican Restaurant

If you're in Leon you have to try this restaurant. We were traveling and just passing through from Utah. At first glance the outside doesn't make a big sell. Don't let the architecture throw you off, it's not important. We decided to goin since there were several cars - lousy restaurants don't have several cars. Once inside the ambiance improves immediately, people are happy and enjoying a good time. The music is authentic and so is the food. We don't drink but the guy next to me enjoyed his margarita and quickly ordered "Uno mas, por favor!"My wife ordered their best taco salad which came with steak, shrimp chicken and topped with a nice queso sauce. I had grilled shrimp with fresh pineapple. It was served with Mexican rice and cabbage. Everything was delicious and the only thing missing was the beach in Playa del Carmen. Even the chips and salsa were top notch. Don't miss it.

First time there. Very nice restaurant. Very clean. I had the street tacos. Very well plated and they were extremely tasty. Service was good and on point.

What a gem! We went for dinner on Cinco De Mayo and were promptly greeted and seated. We started with the chorizo queso dip and it is the best I've ever had!!! We also had fajitas and burritos in our group and all were great. Stop by and. See for yourself.

I went here once but all I can say, was the food was amazing, delicious, hot and fresh, service was great and friendly and the environment was comfortable!

I live out west now, but every time I get home, I make the drive to eat at La Bota II! Ray is always fantastic, a truly good guy. La Bota is like a hidden gem. It deserves more business. The food is terrific, and that's coming from a guy in California who lives within walking distance of 5 or 6 different Mexican restaurants. Next time I'm back, I'm coming twice.

Great food and service! The fajitas had great flavor. Great margaritas. Ask for the house hot sauce.
