This is what it looked like when they said it was "too day to golf".
Coarse was nice except the 8 th hole the sprinklers were on from 1 pm. Left at 6 pm and they were still on. Greens very good condition.

Honestly, this is not a very well run establishment. The general atmosphere is rude and condescending. Most of the people that golf there are slow and don't often let you play through, but this review isn't about the players. All the employees use a tone of voice that says they think you are 'clearly' subordinate to them. Once, I was golfing there and around the third hole it began to drizzle. My friends and I decided to wait it out under the protection of some trees. After twenty minutes, just as it was clearing up, it began to downpour so we decided to make a run for our cars. We didn't even make it to the end of the course before it stopped raining completely. So it rained hard for approximately 3-4 minutes. We changed our shirts and turned around to finish our round, foolishly assuming that a sunny, mid-70's day would be perfect for golf. But after we played one hole they come and tell us they are closed. I would understand if it was still raining, or forecasted to rain later in the day, but neither of these were the case. And instead of saying "hey, sorry guys the course is just too wet to play on even though it's pretty nice out" they decide to go the condescending route and tell us to "play by the rules".... Whatever that was supposed to mean. I'm 100% sure that they closed the course because they would've rather went home on Memorial Day then do their jobs. Additionally, the course in general is poorly laid out. You have to walk a fair distance from green to tee on nearly every hole. Not to mention the cart paths are completely run down and full of potholes. If you want to have a fun relaxing day of golfing, I would highly recommend going to any other course in Omaha.

We have lived on the Knolls golf course for six years now. Since the city took it over two years ago there has been an enormous improvement. The course is much better maintained. The one area where I think some investment needs to be done is on the cart paths. Those are still pretty rough. This is a nice/casual course to play with reasonable prices. We always enjoy it when we get out there. There is a nice mix of long and short holes however be prepared for some distance on the back nine!

Twilight is pretty cheap ($20 with a cart). However, we were stuck behind some very slow groups. We could have played 18, instead it turned in 12. Also, the greens and tee boxes are in pretty bad shape. It's not the worst place, but you have to be patient regarding pace of play and course condition. The employees were nice and helpful. However, they were telling people to go off of random holes. For instance, they told one group to go off of 6. Obviously going off 1 or 10 is normal but 6? It makes me wonder if that is what led to some of the delays.

Horrible. If I could rate this 0 stars I would.......Booked a tee time online, woke up at 7 am to get ready for my tee time at 8 am. I arrived early (7:45 am) and was the only car in the parking lot. Pro shop bar doors were locked with lights off. I figured I was just early, although usually there are workers already there before the first tee time. I proceeded to warm up and practice on the putting green. I waited until 8:30 and checked the doors to see if anyone snuck into the proshop/ bar one last time. Nope, the doors are still locked and i'm still the only person in the parking lot. I understand that a golf course can close due to cold weather and what not. What makes me upset is when I attempted to get a refund through golfnow customer service tells me the manager of the Knolls tells them they were open so they are unable to issue a refund. So, either the manager was badly mistaken or...lied. The temps were in the 20s to 30s and I would at least want to playing a round of golf outside then just waiting for a place that was either a) closed for the day or b) the workers were extremely late. Both scenarios show how irresponsible this establishment is. I will not be coming here again, and will make sure I tell everyone about how irresponsible this establishment is. Luckily I managed to golf at Tara Hills GC (5 star establishment) so my morning did not end up to be a total waste.(I am currently en-route to an Amish town in Pennsylvania, as I am writing this review on my cellphone and will update later)

After having read the previous 3 reviews, and since me and my Bro booked a tee time yesterday, I considered going back to one of our "old faithful" tracks and blowing off The Knolls. The comment by Ken S. about the tee boxes is accurate, they suck. His comment about the greens is way off the mark, they are quick, curvy, and true. My one complaint is that the course seems to be overrun with west Omaha D-bags that are clueless about raking traps, repairing ball marks on the greens or randomly jumping around the course and slowing play. Overall I'd have to say I'll play this one again, a marshal on course to keep up pace would put it in my top 10 courses in Omaha.

Decent golf course but was criticized about how long me and a friend took to golf all 18 holes. Worker said he could golf all holes in an hour and a half. I dont like to rush any of my shots so it is none of their business how long we take to play. We paid to golf so we can take our time. I found it very rude and if any one knows where I can complain to please email me @ [email protected] or [email protected].

One of my favorite courses in Omaha. Not too fancy and not too difficult. The back nine is a little more spread out.

April 2020. Golf courses are greening up fast right now, but conditions of the course today were top notch for first week of April. Last year there was a time when many courses were getting burned up in the heat of summer and Knolls was still green as can be. Great ponds, creeks, and the wildlife keep things interesting at every turn.

Customer service for one!! My girl friends and i who golf in a league in Omaha went to golf the Knolls course today. First of all the man who checked us in, Robert Baber, for our tee time at 815 am and 830am was rude, maybe he didn't have enough sleep or whatever, but we had more customer service at breakfast at La Peep down the road prior to our golf time (and i can provide you our servers name if necessary) than when we checked into the Knoll's for our tee time. When 6 of us checked in at the Knolls for the 815am an 830am tee times, we understood the rules of "not a team of 6 at a time" and decide 4/2 or 2/4 to golf at a a time but hadn't decided who was golfing what time, but we understood Prior to the box. We hadn't even tee'd off yet, in fact i was the first in the box when Mr. Robert Baber came out and scolded us for having 6 out at the same time AND TOLD US HE WOULD KICK US OFF THE COURSE IF WE GOLFED 6 AT A TIME. We already understood the rules at the clubhouse when he stated them and then for him to come down and scold us was unnecessary. We all golf in a league here in West Omaha. We followed the rules, and in fact at times were ahead of others. BUT WE WERE so worried about being kicked off we always felt rushed.Therefore:1) none of the 6 of us will EVER be back to your course2) I will inform all of our golf friends of the situation because it was definitely unnecessary at 8am, and we all understood and complied with the rules prior to any of us teeing off the box3) there was nothing but an apology, which i have everything recorded on my phone. Absolutely uncalled for!! And in fact he had us so scared we paid for an extra cart that was not neeededAll of us who live in Elkhorn, Bennington, and West Omaha will not be recommending your course, nor will we ever return. Our experience to your course for the first time, was most definitely not one that i would've expected being a city course, but then again, maybe we just need to stay to the private courses and recommend our friends do the same. Pretty disappointed
