Few years ago I had Ken's Appliance to work on my fridge ice maker it took them 4 trips to figure why ice maker didn't work after they replace every part they finally figure it out it was a connector to make the ice maker work. Then after they got that fix then one day I was seeing water all over my kitchen floor coming from fridge when the water kick off from ice maker. Don't trust them working on fridge ever again.

Outstanding product protection, service and repair. We had a washing machine that was being irritating and Ken's was good enough to come out repeatedly to troubleshoot the issues as they came up. They stuck with it and found the problem... they're batting 1000 for us. Highly recommended.

There was an instance where the owner yelled at and scolded an employee right in front of customers over a very legitimate question that was asked of him. He is known to do this to his employees in front of customers. This type of behavior from an owner/manager is childish, unprofessional, and unbecoming of an owner of a company. It gives the perception that he can't control his emotions even in front of customers. Not a very good example to set for the people who work for him. The Grand Island '' Good Old Boys Network'' may not care much about this, but customer perception is a real thing in the world of business.

I bought all my kitchen appliances here 5 years ago, used their financing, very helpful staff and everything went great, love the appliances. No trouble until a few weeks ago, dishwasher quit heating the water and one of my kids bent the door - had an apt today for them to come look at it and hopefully repair it - Ray came and was able to fix its problems in less than an hour and now it runs good as new! I've had great service and experience with Ken's appliance and will definitely shop there in the future.

drove down(40min drive) and looked at a freezer Sunday, after checking she said they had 3 in storage. If we wanted one they would bring it to the store. we called Monday, she confirmed again they had 3 still and it would be at the store Tuesday morning. Drove down to pick up and they had brought the wrong freezer, so they yet again checked to make sure they had one in stock and said yet again that they had 3 but we would have to go over a couple blocks to their storage to get it. So we wait for the delivery guys to unload & load their truck and we follow them for a couple miles (not blocks) to pick up the freezer. We wait for a bit while they look for it...and then I'm handed a phone- I'm told they don't have any of the freezers in stock, but I could go back and get the display for the same price or they could order me one. My response, "Are you being serious right now!?!" we drive back to get a refund and I'm told "you're gonna have to wait." I said "you all wasted enough of my time already." The owner comes out, hands me a check and tells me "here, now leave!" I return the check and told him I wanted it refunded back to my card that was used. He told me to get out of here. I said I would once he refunded my money! He took my card and told me to get out or he was calling the cops. I told him again as soon as you refund my money! He told his employee to call the cops as he went to refund my card. He came back handed me my card and told me "now please, get the hell out of here!" ... it's absolutely unbelievable the way this place treats people- especially from the owner! Most places apologize when they mess up, this one tells you to get the hell out!

We are firm believers in shopping with locally owned businesses regardless of price wherever possible. We have purchased (2) complete sets of kitchen appliances from this business and they were always so very helpful during the sale, but their service after the sale is atrocious. They ALWAYS have a long sad story about why they cannot service your appliance they sold you, for several weeks... To us this is simply unacceptable, especially when your 2 year old top of the line GE washing machine is broke, and you are having to drive to a laundromat twice each week to wash clothes for your busy family of five... We don't price shop when we buy appliances because we want service after the sale, but this level of service is not for us. From now on, we are driving out of town to support a different family owned business (in the next town) that truly believes in customer service

I really don't know how to mark the stars. So far I am happy with the appliances I purchased from this business. In March I purchased a washer and dryer and the salesman was very polite and helpful. We like to buy local so when I needed another range and microwave I went there with my daughter. The owner waited on us and I had met him previously although I didn't know he was the owner at the time. Purchased the appliances but there was a rack missing from the range and he said not a problem he would hunt it up and it would be there when delivered. Wonderful service by the delivery persons who installed all. No sooner had they left, however, I discovered that the third rack wasn't in the oven. Called and spoke to Gail the owner who laughed and said "I was just trying to piss you off" so I told him that I was pissed and he could just get the rack out to me. He said he would. Next day. no rack so called again and he came out with a rack, left it at the door with my dAughter and took off. No apology nothing. Tried to put the rack in and it was too small. Called again and he did come out quickly with another rack which I insisted he put in. He walked out with nary a word. Will never darken their door again.
