Kenl Inn has taken care of my very senior dog for years, both overnight and day care. They know him, care about him, and I feel secure when I leave him in their care. I have recommended Kenl Inn to others and will continue to do so. Review by Sally Frahm

I have used the overnight boarding three times now. One of my dogs, I purchased all dat play passes. Upon entering, there is always someone with a smile to greet us. They always comment on my dogs. My last visit, I added a shampoo and brush out. They added an extra 5 dollar charge on my Aussi-corgi (Auggie). The groomer said she was heavily matted! I did bit know my dog was matted, because she looked fine! She explained that double coated dogs coats can "lay down" on the skin and create a layer of fur. This dog has had heat stroke issues for a few years now. After this grooming, and the removal of all the undercoat, she is cooling off properly! The groomer knows her stuff! Thank you! The boarding rates are the best in town. But with all the add one such as day play and walks, they are the same rates as everyone. Fair enough! My dogs love this place, and so do I.

I took my German Shepherd Husky here to get groomed and they did an amazing job with her. Kya has a lot of anxiety and she freaks out when she gets her nails clipped. The lady grooming her took extra time to keep Kya calm and they brushed her out so good, she didn't shed for a few days which is a miracle for shepskys.

KenL Inn seems great for dogs, but it is not good for cats. While I believe that their customer service is excellent, I would caution people against boarding their cats here for the simple reason that the small, echo-y room where the cats are boarded also boards LOUD squawking birds, which made my cats extremely uncomfortable. When I picked up my cats from boarding, I was taken aback by their boarding conditions. The birds' squawking was unbelievably loud in that little room. It was like an echo chamber. If a human can't stand that noise, just think how bad it must be for cats, whose hearing is super sensitive! I wouldn't be surprised if it damaged their hearing. Both cats looked terrified and miserable. Even the cat that adjusts well to new situations was cowering in a corner. I used to believe that my sensitive kitty just didn't like being boarded because he would always be grumpy, hissy, and fatigued when he returned home from boarding at KenL Inn-- like he hadn't slept the entire time. Well, when I needed to board my cats again just last week, I tried taking them to a different place, and when they returned, this cat didn't display any of these symptoms! I think he was only miserable boarding at KenL Inn. I would urge cat owners not to board their cats here unless/until they remove the loud, squawking birds from the room with the cats.

Took both my dogs there this weekend for the first time. I was very frustrated with how they charged for every little thing. The kennels were very small and had no outside access. They let them outside 3 times a day for the bathroom for free. If I wanted any more bathroom breaks or the chance for them to play with other dogs I had to pay daily per dog. They don't even provide food. I was very disappointed overall. It shouldn't cost $300 for 4 days.

They were so careful to make sure our two small dogs had had all their shots and wanted a paper from our vet for the file. A day after we got our dogs home they both came down with kennel cough. We took both dogs to the vet to make sure and the vet diagnosed them with kennel cough. Asking for a shot history from our vet was nice but apparently not everyone does this. I wonder if Kenl-In is getting to big to handle the number of pets they take in. We USE to like to take our dogs here but we no longer trust our pets to their careToo bad, at one time they were the best in Lincoln!.

Took our chihuahua papillon here a couple times. Had him boarded up front by the desk. The boarding option we selected was nice in my opinion, but I feel bad for the dogs in the regular boarding. Our dog is kind of skittish and can be snappy with new people, but he did great. We called a few times while he was there just to make sure he was doing okay and each time we called they had nothing but positive things to say. I would board our chihuahua here again, but I'm not sure about our other dog because they have a stipulation on the suites up front that the dogs can't bark a lot or they may get transferred to one of the kennels in the back which look a lot less cozy and don't get as many accommodations. That would be my only concern. They seem pretty good overall in my opinion though. We just got a new puppy and after looking extensively anywhere that offered classes, we decided to go with Kenl Inn. The classes were good. The trainer seemed to be very knowledgable and was happy to answer any questions. They taught things that were helpful. Even though the class was not a puppy class I think this was a great class to start our puppy with and there were a few other puppies in the class too. I would recommend this class to anyone looking for a good place to start and get some basic knowledge and tips on training. We plan on signing her up for the advanced class or agility in the future.

I could not give a worse review if I tried I left in tears with my dog. I have a pug puppy, so she didn't need a haircut or anything I took her in for a bath which "included" ear cleaning, anal gland expression and I added on a nail trim. Let me preface this with two things, first I am aware my dog does not like getting her nails trimmed. Second, I called and explained that and their response was they were experienced in handling dogs like that and I shouldn't be worried. I booked an appt, and dropped her off and explained the tactics that other groomers have done to successfully trim her nails. I picked her up and they told me they couldn't continue with the nail trimming because she was to fussy and for her safety they stopped. One i am glad they stopped or she would have no nails left at all, second I know she's fussy and that's why I called and asked if they can do that!!!!! They didn't charge me for that portion of the grooming but informed be they cut too short on 2 of paws and by cut short they were SHORT literally nothing left, and bloody and painful to the point she was favoring that paw for some time. I was so upset and felt horrible for subjecting my girl to that. NEVER take your dog here unless chopping a Dogs nail off so horrible they are limping is the service you are looking for. Also do not tell customers you are experienced with a fussy pup if that's not something you can handle. In addition, I looked in my dogs ears after- and they 100% were not cleaned. I'm furious but more so sick to my stomach I took my girl somewhere where they treated her so horribly.
