Karen's Fireside

One of the best decisions I've made this year was to throw a party at Karen's Fireside. We surprised my husband on his 40th birthday. He had a blast! Thanks to Julie who is such a great person to work with. She bent over backwards to accommodate my requests - and there were many -. No detail was spared. TJulie even had the bartender create special drinks to honor the birthday boy. Everyone raved at how lovely the place looked and how much fun they had. Julie made planning the party seamlesswhich left me to only worry about how to get my husband to the party without ruining the surprise! I look forward to having another party at Karen's Fireside in the future!

Great place for a banquet or gathering/party. The facility is nice. Very spacious for about 200 people. The buffet line was good. The meats were not overly dry and the rest of the spread was just as good as any restaurant I have been to. The bar was decently priced; and they even had a guard to ensure nothing got out of hand. (Alcohol and people sometimes do not mix). All in all; I would definitely recommend for parties or gatherings.

Your Day is too Special DON'T spend it here.This was a special day we had planned for the past year but unfortunately we trusted the tired and worn out KAREN'S FIRESIDE that was rude and didn't care at all ! Don't trust your special day with KAREN'S FIRESIDE or You will be disappointed in all areas. We had to apologies to our guest several times. Several guests were left standing for an hour because they would not set up extra tables. We had some guest leave. When the Mother of the bride arrived she had to demand extra tables be set up. KAREN"S showed no concern for our guest. On the day of the 1:30 wedding I sent 2 family members and 2 friends over to Karen's Fireside to set up at 10:00. We made all the table decorations. Karen's Fireside would not allow my family and friends to set up the guest tables and both ladies were VERY rude . I told Denise on the day before to expect My family and friends to be over at 10:00 to decorate. They were not Cooperative or Ready. KAREN'S HAD SET UP 1 OF THE 21 TABLES AND THE HEAD TABLE ONLY! They said the rest would not be ready for 2 more hours! That would be 12:00, wedding was at 1:30 ! Karen's did place the center pieces on the table but did not follow the picture sent and my family was not able to complete their decorating. This was VERY disappointing! The Hall was set up like every 50th wedding anniversary they have had there! Yes, There was an event booked the day before ours, But our service should have not suffered because of another event booking.Your Day is too Special DON'T spend it here. I wish someone would have warned us. It was a lot of money for so so food and rude people.They will be rude AFTER they get your money!.

I can't say enough about how great this venue is. The team at Karen's is very helpful, attentive and thorough. They made our wedding reception very easy. The venue was beautifully decorated, the food was amazing and the team there was exceptional. They were able to capture the ideas of my wife and make our reception match our personality and wants exactly. Thank you for making this process easy for both of us, and for attending to so many things. I would HIGHLY recommend Karen's Fireside for any event.

I had a terrible experience with this vendor for my wedding in 2006. Once the deposit was made they were beyond rude (calling me a B**** when they thought they had hung up the phone and hadn't). They were difficult to work with when I asked about doing a seating chart due to divorced families that we wanted to seperate. The day of the wedding it was 95 degrees and no water was on the tables which I had forgotten to ask about ahead of time. There was a line of people to get water so I asked if we could have water brought to the tables for the wedding party and you would have thought I asked them to rope the moon. The owner responded with a huge sigh and rolled her eyes, but did go and get water for the 10 people we had in the party. Through all of this they never offerred so much as an apology. I will say the food was good and the price was very reasonable, but the bottom line...you get what you pay for and the service was terrible!
