I've seen a handful of exhibits here, and love that they're doing something for the community. The parking is also ideal as it's right on the outskirts of the old market. It's nice that it's free admission but I implore you to donate what you can to help keep these exhibits open.I attended the common senses festival last year and it was so beautiful to see how they were accommodating folks to see these interactive exhibits. The staff is really friendly, and chatty and can share a lot more anecdotes to some of the displays. Looking forward to checking out the next exhibit there.

Their current exhibit was truly a blast for the whole family! "Common Senses" is educational, fun, engaging, and so innovative.Unfortunately we stopped in on an evening when the top floor was closed off for another event, so we will have to come back to catch the other half!Highly encourage taking advantage of the kid friendly atmosphere during this festival!

We are so lucky to have Kaneko in Omaha! The art exhibits here are always top notch. They usually switch exhibits every quarter. There is no admission fee and a suggested $5 donation (no pressure to do so). There is lots of metered parking that is usually available right next to the gallery. Check out their website/social media for there long list of events.

This was my first time visiting after seeing the ad for the new exhibit focusing on autism-sensitive themed art pieces. I have worked with kids with autism for years so I wanted to see their take on sensory focused art. First of all, this venue is FREE. What a welcomed gem to have in our growing city of arts. The only thing to pay for is parking in either meters outside or the garage lot across the street. Second, the space is HUGE and open for all kinds of displays to rotate in and out of - I am so happy to have visited. Now for specifically the Common Sense festival arts display. It aims to meet all 5 of the senses in an autism/sensory sensitive environment way which I believe it does in wonderful fashion. It includes a 360degree nature movie with beanbag chairs, a unique audio experience, a sensory "car wash" and sensory bin area for younger kids, a quiet room to de-stress for sensory overload, a touch and feel sensory "gym" and a light room where you can change the color and brightness of the whole room. I brought my 3 year old son (not on the spectrum) who really enjoyed the experience as well. I'm very impressed with the thoughtful design of this gallery and appreciate those who took the time to invest in it. Thank you! (I wish I had more pictures, sorry!)

I was so excited to stumble across KANEKO while strolling through the Old Market over the weekend. I didn't quite know what I was walking into but I did know that it was free :) Essentially, KANEKO is a free art gallery open to the public! I had a fun time checking out their current exhibits. One was a collection from sculptural artists and the other featured artwork from local students. The space is really cool and they seem to offer several art programs and events. I'm looking forward to stopping back in when a new exhibition is up.

This little gem is hidden away from the public in downtown Omaha. A friend of a friend of a friend recommended this place since I was in town visiting so we went for a look.First of all, it's free. That's right!! Modern art and oddities, interactive 3D exhibits, and guided tours if you like, all FREE. I was nervous at first with my two small children but there was plenty of run around space and only one room had floor exhibits that were untouchable. Great experience for families of all ages and highly recommend to everyone!!

This is an extremely interesting venue for various art mediums. My family recently enjoyed the light exhibit. It was amazing. Such an experience for the young and old. Get in line for the main event, black and white room, first. We ended up being turned away after waiting in line for a while bc they were going to close soon. You don't want to end up like the Grizwalds at Wallyworld!
