Jonesy's Corner

We came here for a bite for dinner. Half the dining area is seating, the other half is a bar. Definitely had a pub feel. We were met promptly, friendly waitress. I ordered the "monster taco" special and my husband ordered the brisket burger with sweet potato fries. She brought us regular fries but quickly fixed it. She asked us if we wanted to just bring the fries with us. The sweet potato fries were pretty good. The burger had a nice crust on it, but brisket didn't seem to fresh. My taco was excellent and big. Could of used some sour cream though, but that's probably a personal preference. My husband wants to come back and try their biscuits and gravy. He's on a quest to find the best in Omaha/Council Bluffs.

It has been there for as long as I can remember, it is always there. It doesn't stick out really. It isn't flashy at all and I always rush right by it. Finally, my stomach growled at the perfect time and I wheeled the car right into Jonesy's. It wasn't super early but I could smell the hash browns as soon as I swung open the side door. There were a few fellas having coffee in the semi large dining room area but I sat at the bar and almost ordered a Bloody Mary. I ordered an iced tea instead and took it all in. It is a Bar, the bar looked to have big selection of beers and liquors too. My stomach growled again and it reminded me to order food. I chose the standard Chicken Fried Steak, hash browns (both were smothered in brown Gravy), 3 scrambled eggs with a biscuit and some gravy on the side. It didn't take long before a big plate of Hot food was brought to me. The serving was LARGE which was a good thing that morning. It was all so good, the eggs were good and well prepared the steak was cooked just right, the gravy topped it all off but, the potatoes had my attention since I walked in and they did not disappoint at all.I really cant wait to swing back by this joint for another Chicken Fried breakfast. The service was Great and the eats were too.

I stopped in with a group of cyclists on a Friday evening. We sat on the patio because the weather was perfect and because we could keep an eye on our bikes. Our waitress was pleasant and good at her job and didn't seem at all put out when we asked for ten separate checks. I had a chicken enchilada s with rice and beans and it was delicious and the serving was more than generous. They sell beer by the pitcher and the prices are significantly lower than across the river. Don't expect authentic Mexican food here, it more of a toned down American style Mexican. They also serve regular American diner food. They have some tables inside near the bar but the atmosphere is much nicer outside. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

The food was mid for 11 dollars, the mixed burrito was salty, I couldn't even pick it up before everything fell out of it. The burrito tasted like a school taco (no joke). The enchiladas were too sweet. They hyped this place up, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone except someone who likes non authentic Mexican food made from hyvee products.

For now it's getting 5 stars. I was only going to do 4 but I couldn't come up with a reason why. The food was DELICIOUS! All of it. Everything. YUGE portions and cheap prices! Everything came out perfectly done and hot. Breakfast burritos came with a nice big side of homemade tasty salsa. Service was very attentive and friendly. We were as happy as pigs in poo and already planning our next visit and what we will get!

Probably the most pathetic Mexican food I have ever eaten. The staff was friendly but food taste like a kid making Mexican food for the first time. The steak burrito I ordered was only steak wrapped in a tortilla with melted cheese on it. The cheese tasted like a bunch of craft singles melted over the burrito. The chicken taco was a little better but not by much.

Pub Grub! Service has always been excellent. You get that small town diner feeling where everyone knows each other. the enchiladas are more on the mole side, but huge!!. rice is pretty good and beans are fresh and made in house you can tell. Overall im impressed for bar food!

Tried this location on taco tuesday because I heard it was better. Made the mistake of getting food to go. Some of the tacos were made wrong and the chips for my meat and cheese dip were very stale. Not worth driving back to getting things fixed. Enchilada was good

Soooo, this was kind of mix of American and Mexican food but that's okay.I had the ordered the larger side salad and it looked awfully small, I couldn't imagine how small the small one was! But when I got the receipt, I was charged for the small one so that explains that. It was good though.I got the hot beef sandwich and it was okay... the beef was not spectacular, need to try a different cut or something but the gravy and potatoes were good.

This place was off the hook!!! Burritos was absolutely one of the best we had and the Philly steak was delicious! Queso sauce was some of the best we've had.
