Johnny Goodman Golf Course

I travel a lot with work and try to play local courses when I can. This may have been the worst experience that I've had at a public course.The track was pretty and and the only problems with the course were dents in the greens.I ended up being stuck behind two groups of kids as a single. They were playing very slow. I caught them on every box and they never said a word or asked if I would like to play through. They drove on the fringe multiple times, and got their cart stuck for 20+ min trying to drive through a creek. At this point I quit(number 8 I believe) and waited for them to hit their tee shots on 9 before I drove around. 4 people hit 7 tee shots with me waiting to pass!After I got to the pro shop, I let the pro know what happened and how disappointed I was. He offered me a rain check and when I told him that I lived out of state and would prefer a refund, he offered me a refund for 9 saying that I had already played 8 holes. I let him know that I didn't feel like that was fair, but he said that was the best that he could do so I left.

Course was in good condition, unfortunately no cart girl though. If you like long holes this is a good course for you. And all par threes being over water is a fun challenge.

This is one of the best city golf courses in Omaha. I've played a few times here now on golf league night. Formerly Applewood Golf Course, it's long (the four par 5's average 516 yards!) where you can tee it high and let it fly! The greens are tough and humbling; where it looks to break left and it doesn't or the infamous putting green that has a hill on it. Putt with a little too much umph and it will keep rolling and rolling. On all of the par 3's, you have to hit over water. There are apartments and houses that are fenced along the way so make sure to be accurate with your shots.Sand traps are strategically placed where getting in one is easy; but getting out is a different story. I prefer to stay out of them. Overall, a fantastic course that's well maintained.

It was a good course. There were a couple mishaps and troubles with the people there and the maintenance was not the greatest and bunkers were very muddy on the course but other than that it was a good time.

Best city course in Omaha!! Greens roll true, Fairways are fantastic!! Challenging track for sure!! Fair Green Fees as well.........
