I had a great experience with Jim. I set up an appointment with him- he arrived on time and worked quickly to replace our lock. He doesn't accept cards so just be prepared to pay cash or check the old school way.

Broke my key off in my door. Jim was here in about 20 minutes & removed the key literally within *seconds*. He showed me what was wrong, recommended a product to prevent future problems, and made sure I tried the lock again before he left. Trustworthy, friendly guy.$85 for the service.

We needed up have the locks and dead bolts on 3 doors changed and a dead bolt added to another door. Jim was able to show up the same day within 90 minutes of calling him. The cost for changing 4 locks, 3 dead bolts, changing out a dead bolt and adding an additional dead bolt and 4 keys was $184, very reasonable, we tipped him an extra $15 for his promptness and professionalism which he seemed to sincerely appreciate. The work took about 2 hours.He is a laid-back guy but also a professional individual who took the time to make sure we were understood what he was doing and that our needs were being met. He made recommendations for products that we may find helpful in the future but didn't try to sell us anything or push extra services onto us. I will use this company again and would recommend him to others. Accepts cash, check, Visa & Mastercards for payment.

Jim came and changed our locks and standardized us on one key after we moved into our house. I called him because he was recommended by our real estate agent, who told me that he had several times "gotten her out of a jam." He arrived extremely promptly (I think it was only 15 minutes or so), understood exactly what had to be done, and informed us about what he would do. One of our locks presented a difficult case for a locksmith and he explained our options clearly, educating us about how such locks work in the process. He worked quickly and had the whole house finished in under an hour and we had 8 new keys for our new locks. When he was done, all of the troublesome locks that had no keys, or had been sticky, were operating smoothly, even the ones on a door that had formerly required physical jostling to get latched. Had a chance to converse a bit and he's a pleasure to talk to as well. The cost was extremely reasonable and fair.I do hope that I am never the subject of a juicy story for a locksmith to tell, but if I were, I would trust Jim's Lock and Key to help me resolve the trouble discreetly.

We needed our front door re-keyed.. we had never gotten keys for it. Jim came to out house.. got it done in no time at all, and for a very reasonable price. He showed up on time.. was friendly.. and went out of his way to make sure we knew about all the features out lock had. I would definitely call him again if I needed a dependable fair locksmith.

Called Jim for a non-emergency lock repair issue and he still fit me in within three hours of my call. Personable guy who clearly knows a lot and is very passionate about his craft.
