Jims Gyros

I wouldn't call this a Greek restaurant. I would call it a sandwich place that happens to have gyros. That's okay if you're expecting it and not hoping for things like falafel or hummus, which is not on the menu.The food itself is fine. The fries I got are clearly old fries that have been sitting out for a while so they're not great but the gyro (which comes either dressed the "Greek" way, with tzatziki sauce, feta, and tomato, or the "American" way which is dressed like a cheeseburger) is fine. A little heavy on the feta for my taste, but you take what you can get.The staff seemed nice though and generally the place seemed fine for a quick lunch. Just maybe don't get the fries unless you know they're fresh, and check the menu before coming so you know they have what you like.

Got a chicken pita wrap instead of the more traditional gyro meat. The sandwich was good but oily and slightly overly salty. Good place to stop by for a quick bite. The menu is slightly lacking options but they do make a good gyro.

Jim's has amazing food! Come hungry! Great portion sizes & made to order... down size is the hours of operation but they are open during "lunch & dinner" services!

In a town overrun with fast food options... Jims Gyros is a true gem! They serve up delicious gyros and I live for their greek salad! This is a great place for a quick bite and a must stop whenever i'm back in Grand Island.They just opened a drive-thru too which I think is a nice addition to their joint!

Husband loved it but I wasn't a fan! I like my gyro meat sliced and served on the gyro. This place grilled the meat making it crispy and worst of all they grilled the pita!

Amazing food and even better service. Our gyro sandwiches came out piled with meat. We literally could have split one between the two of us. Greek salad was large too with tasty dressing.

Traveling west and made a pit stop in Grand Island for gas and food. We always make it a point to try local foodies and had a craving for gyros so checked out Jim's. Place is small and tuck away, was busy in the late lunch hour. Ordered the gyro with everything and the gyro salad. The salad was big and well stocked with meat - satisfying to both myself and wife. Gyro was interesting as it was served with lettuce and taco cheese (the everything portion). Noticed others having the same and putting hot sauce on them. Perhaps a Nebraska flair on the taco. Different from your traditional gyro, but good.

Tried the Greek Salad for the first time and it was amazing!!! Great service & great food!

Had to go to Nebraska for business and got hungry. During Covid I've tried to stay away from the chains. Stopped in here. Parking lot to get to the business is kind of a free for all that day. People just driving helter skelter. Small place and I got in before the lunch crowd. Staff all in masks. Same can't be said about all the customers. I went for the big Jim combo which was like a Greek burrito (large gyro). I suggest the hot sauce to give it a little kick. Fries were large crinkle cut and they had Pepsi products at the machine. Giving it some bonus points.. I'd say it's a solid 3 plus so I rounded up. Staff was friendly. Small menu but it seemed solid. I'd come back again.
