This bar is the friendliest bar I've been to in Benson! From the owners to the bartenders and regulars, they all were so nice and treated me like they have known me for years! I highly recommend this bar for all!! Check out the pics below!

You know it's a good dive when the hours are 7am-2am daily. Makes me think of the early dedicated drinkers on Bourbon Street in NOLA, but way less gross. Fun!I love Jerry's (aka Bar J's) classic interior--the perfect mix of retro and dive. The vintage red and white leather seats, beer signs, and lighting are a treat. The bartenders are always efficient and accommodating. You can indulge in libations from a cheap tap beer to an old fashioned. Gotta love that they have parking and some snacks for purchase too! In addition to any ol' night we've been here to grab drinks, we've also stopped in during a football game and they had a generous, free potluck array. I also hear have a dedicated video game night on Monday (ask them about it). TL;DR As far as small-biz watering holes go, this perfectly has everything you want, nothing more nothing less.

Oh Jerry's oh how I appreciate everything you are. You're one of those nice little tucked away gems in every city that only those fortunate enough to venture off the beaten path may find an when they do they'll absolutely love this place. The atmosphere throws you back way back back into times where PBR chandeliers an Strohs flowing waterfall signs were on every bar wall an you'd have those amazing diner type booths an a super long bar to sit at. However an this is a Big however if you want what I feel is one of the best Bloody Mary in town look no further. Yes I'm serious I'm throwing it out there Jerry's Bloodys are #1 in Omaha. Here's the secret tho an I tell you this is the reason; Jerry knows said farmer or maybe gardener; they get some fresh veggies an make their own infused vodka that they make the Bloody with an let me tell you it is absolutely amazing; the seasoning an flavor is top notch But the real kicker is something you don't get too often if not ever in Omaha an that's a sidecar with the bloody; I mean that's the true way in my opinion to serve it is with a small sidecar of beer an in this case it was a high life. Success again an Thanks for being one of the best local watering holes with the best damn bloodies in town!

Who's Jerry?I love this bar. I am a huge fan of dive bars and this one has it all. The staff here are some of the best bartenders in town. Benson has a lot of great bars, this one might be my favorite, Just a quick block off the main strip of Benson this bar is worth the tiny walk. My favorite thing to order here is a mini pitcher of beer. Holding this tiny pitcher in my hand makes me feel huge at four dollars one heck of a deal. Behind the bar is a giant leather engraved machete for fending off the troublemakers, which is a cool touch. The wall are adorned with vintage beer adds and paraphernalia. The jukebox and pinball machine are nice touches as well. This is a small bar that is usually full of fun and exiting patrons. Check it out

Do you even Benson if you don't drink at Jerry's?Jerry's Bar is Benson's dive bar haven. On a Saturday night, step away from the crush of not-Bensonites and duck into Jerry's instead. The joint is unpretentious and the waitstaff quick and friendly. Great for a shot & a beer but there are plenty of premium offerings, too. All for a fair price.Rob & the crew always seem to have a group of craft beer people in or an outdoor tent filled with something fun happening. You can't say you live in Benson if you don't frequent Jerry's.

As far as dive bars go, Jerry's takes the cake. Imagine a perfect little hole-in-the-wall bar, renowned for it's warm & inviting atmosphere, & held in the highest regards by the community that it's a part of. Now add a real juke box, some of the friendliest bartenders you've ever met, & lots of tables & booths to tuck yourself away into. Have I mentioned that it's 2 blocks away from Maple? It's the perfect distance away from (& yet not at all removed from) the throngs of loud debauchery happening on the main strip. Are you sold yet? It's absolutely as good as you've heard it is. Give them your money in exchange for an incredibly reasonably priced beer, they deserve your support & you deserve the experience.

Jerry's bar is awesome. I've really become a fan since trying it during Omaha Beer Week 2014. The first time coming here I was pretty skeptical. It's in a little sketchy of a spot, my mom who grew up in Benson thought there was no way there was a Beer Week event at Jerry's. I arrived and walked in with my buddy, dressed pretty hipsterish and my buddy dressed like he just got done with a college class. There was 3 or 4 locals drinking PBR and a few more by the door and that was it. We sat down between the two groups so we had some space and ordered our beers (at the time, a Beer Week special from Zipline). I was astonished to see not only 5 taps with Miller, Bud, and Busch Light, Budweiser, and Hoegaarden, BUT 12 more taps! They had multiple craft beers from our own Storz (technically Lincoln's), ZipLine, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Summit, Tallgrass and several others. I couldn't believe it, and when the owner, Rob came over and talked to us he confirmed my thoughts. He bought the bar two years ago and has worked super hard at turning it into a craft beer bar. Since this bar is right on the outskirts of Benson, it caters to the hipster crowd (/beer snob crowd/ me), and the locals who have come here for twenty years. He's been in touch with all the local breweries and always has good stuff on tap. There's a jukebox and some TVs as well as booths to sit in. I've only been able to make it late at night, but I bet this place is packed during the early night time. I'll keep coming back to Jerry's and I hope his business continues to grow.

It's hard to beat a great dive bar. And even among dive bars, Jerry's is hard to beat. Nestled a little off the beaten path in downtown Benson, Jerry's is one of the places that you've driven past a hundred times but never really noticed.Aside from a nice little patio for the smokers, the inside is dark and full of vintage beer schwag -- like old animated Hamm's signs, PBR and Budweiser light fixtures, etc., etc. You can tell not much has been changed in, well, decades. Add in some vinyl booths with duct tape on the seats, and you have the recipe for a perfect dive -- especially when you realize they have way more than Bud, Bud Light and Coors on tap. In fact, there's quite a variety of European and craft beers available on tap and in bottles.It was a warm, Saturday afternoon when the wife and I came here. We even had a pizza delivered to us from the Pizza Shoppe. While we only stayed for a little while, we could've stayed all night.Marq M said this is a place to be for Husker games? Hmm. Might have to check that out in the fall.
