Jams Old Market

We have stopped by in the past but this trip we stayed at the moxie and it is right around the corner. With the weather being a tundra this weekend thank goodness we love Jams!First stop for brunch, ambiance is beautiful and comfortably designed.Pre show dinner sat at the bar and had the salmon salad. So yummy and filling.Came back for night cocktail and desert everything on the desert menu looked amazing except for the cheesecake- I would be so much healthier if cheesecake were the only desert but it is not and I am so glad because I had the fabulous Chocolate Crème Brûlée!! Oh my gawd.The staff was awesome - letting us finish watching the Commanders vrs Lions Game.Of course we will be back!Unless can we get one going in Des Moines?

Jams has consistently been a favorite and go-to spot in Omaha over the years! It's great for groups of any size and the menu has such a great variety that it'll satisfy everyone in your group - from meatballs to tacos to brunch.I've probably had most things on the menu at this point! Standouts are the bruschetta, blue crab rangoon egg rolls, meatballs, coconut chicken strips, grilled chicken Caesar salad (honestly all the salads), and the mac and cheese. for brunch the maple bacon frenchy, the strapping lad, and the biscuits and gravy. (their breakfast potatoes are soooo good and the sausage is my favorite in the city! - I'm not even that big of a sausage person too)this place is never too busy so you rarely will have a wait and the service is pretty good. The patio is awesome when it's nice out and is covered so that is a win! Overall, Jam will remain a staple in my book! and if you get anything, make sure to try the blue crab rangoon eggrolls...Now I'm craving them!

Finding the place took a bit cause they are borrowing the space next door for a few weeks while they make some improvements but it was well worth it!The menu is very diverse and the portions are ginormous! The steak salad in my photo is the half portion not the full! The steak was cooked just the way I ordered it and very flavorful! The meatballs were also amazing! The drinks were very tasty too. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly but not overly invasive. It was pretty empty while I was there on a Monday night but it did pick up a bit a little later. I won't review the ambiance or decor etc as I wasn't in their true location

Always great service, we had a large group and things went well. We were comfortable and all the food was delicious.

Wait staff excellent ! My tacos were good . Not much else to say. They didn't completely wow me. But they were good. A wow is , I will be back for that same dish. Others who joined had mac and cheese and said it's as okay and one had another type of taco which they said was good. Nice ambiance , no loud music Gluten free choices !

We stopped in on a Saturday around 1pm with a group of 11. We were seated fairly quickly. We got our drinks, but in between drinks, ordering, and getting our food, there were a lot of long stretches without our server (and it wasn't busy).Otherwise, the food was fantastic!! We love their bruchetta, and we tried a new menu item, the coffee cake. It was delicious!As always my roasted turkey was fantastic. My husband got onion rings with his burger and they were also so perfectly cripsy and evenly coated. Great ambiance.

We stopped in here while looking for something that was casual and low key but not just bar food and were not disappointed. This is a nice cozy place in the old market area. I could imagine that it would be quite loud when it was busy, but Wednesday night somewhat late was not that time. We tried the crab rangoon egg rolls and I got the Asian bbq tofu sandwich. I believe these were both off the specials menu.The rangoon egg rolls were interesting, definitely a lot of fresh crab as part of this. The Asian bbq tofu sandwich was rather like a banh mi in a slightly different format. I do think the spicing on both was a bit overpowering. Not so unexpected with the sandwich. It was good however, and I will definitely be back. They had quite an interesting drink selection and our server was great about helping us pick out items.

Taking ourselves to lunch before heading to the stadium for CWS Final Game #1! WHOOP WHOOP! We got seated at M's Pub and were happy to eat there until we realized that they don't serve French fries on their menu. That was going to suffice for our pre-game/pre-drinking meal. The waiter was respectful about our decision to leave and recommened Jams, next door. We turned the corner and entered a delightfully different environment. Much more casual and light than M's Pub, and they do serve french fries!Our waiter was amazing and recommended anything on the menu that was made with their brisket so we ordered the short rib grilled cheese but asked to have the housemade tater tots instead of fries. Half way through eating we realized it wasn't really a grilled cheese and asked her about it. Turns out it was the brisket sandwich and she offered to exchange it, but it was so good we didn't even care. Absolutely delicious and well priced. Perfect for brunching with less frufru crowds. They have something tasty for everyone!06-22-2024

Went back this weekend after a few years, and I was pretty underwhelmed again. The atmosphere and service were just fine, but the entrees we received were just lackluster at best. Between the 'throw everything in the bowl' con(fusion) of the steak Cobb salad, and the bland flavors of the anticipated Asian chicken salad, we aren't eager to give Jams another try anytime soon.

Do not recommend if you have severe allergies. We told our waitress of my allergies and specifically asked if my meal had any nuts in it. I had an allergic reaction to something, and I have know of similar stories when it comes to allergies.
