Nice store! I was kindly greeted as I entered. They had several of the coins I was looking for and let me browse through them until I selected the ones I wanted. The gentleman offered a loop to me for closer inspection, answered my questions, provided information , totaled the price and thanked me for coming in. Service and selection!

I highly recommend this shop to take your coin or currency collection. The guys here are friendly and really know their stuff as they assisted me in getting the best prices in selling my father's coin collection.

A shop in its decline...Ive used this place over the last several years to buy coin collecting supplies and sometimes 90% silver when they had something I liked, although their X face value isn't the best. Only a few times I sold coins to them, and they were numismatic gold pieces. I didn't get the best experience then, they took a very long time to price them after sorting thru outdated price guides ( enter the 21st century already!) and couldn't give me an offer on one because their sigma machine wasn't reading it correctly, although I 100% knew it was genuine and got it sold elsewhere. Another gold coin took them way too long to verify its authenticity and had me skeptical then of their expertise. In the end, I did get a ok price for the ones I sold them.Fast forward another year, my usual bullion dealer (Coinhuskers) is booked up for the day. So I decide to give J & J another try. I come in wanting to sell around 100 oz of silver coins, mostly 925 sterling Canadian commemoratives. One of the first things I place on the counter is a stack of 1972-1976 Panama 20 Balboas. They are all in the original boxes with certificates and everything. The guy across the counter after fumbling with my stuff for 15 minutes tells me they can't take the Balboas because they are just silver-plated. He said they have 200 grains of silver, when the certificate clearly shows they are made of 2000 grains. They hold close to 4 ounces of pure silver and are highly collectible, dude.He was defiant after I tried to educate him, then I realised I was in the wrong place. I left in a hurry, because if a coin shop who has been in the business this long can't quote coins properly, they can't be trusted with any of my other stuff either. They really should know what Balboas are, and if not, know how to QUICKLY ad CORRECTLY do some research to figure it out!Very unprofessional, very messy and cluttered workspace, these guys are a joke and a half pathetic excuse for a coin collecting business. Take your collection elsewhere to get things priced out the right way, you'll regret it if you don't as you watch these old boomers fuddle thru your stuff at a snails pace and then tell you they can't take any of it because they don't know what they're even talking about. A bunch of posers.Terrible prices on buying their stuff, too. As I said, not the best 90% silver price in town, and their ASE's and Morgans in the cases are way overpriced. But that's sort of typical for the old-guy coin shops. If you want to step back into the mid 1900's, this is your place. Smells like your grandparents musty attic and just as stacked and piled up with crap, too. Unfortunately there isn't much better options in the Bellevue area, bellevue deserves much better service than this dump. The best coin and bullion dealer in town is Coinhuskers on 90th and F st in the Modern Work building. He's appt. by only, but after dealing with him you won't want to go anywhere else. Look him up.

Awesome people with great in-depth knowledge of their field. I walked into their shop with two Gold Coins left to me by an estate. They were 1901 & 1902 Gold Half Eagles. I had no idea of what the coins were nor their value. The three owners took turns carefully examining each coin. Together they gave me an in-depth history of that particular coin variety and mintage. They also recommended I send the coins to a grading company and have them professionally graded. I had no clue how to do that. They volunteered to send them in for me with some of their other coins they had waiting and only charge me their cost. A month later, both coins came back both graded MS-65! (The owners previously estimated both coins @ MS-63.) They were just as thrilled with the professional grading results as I was! They also gave me some used coin books to help my grandkids get started penny collecting. They then assisted me in selecting a few nice pennies to help the kids along (including some nice 1943 steel wheat pennies)! The whole experience was awesome and extremely educational. They also have lots of way cool and interesting antiques for sale scattered throughout their shop. The shop is somewhat small & is located on the east side of Galvin Road--just before it joins Fort Crook Road running north. I am a big fan and heartily recommend them to anybody!Cheers,Mike
