Iowa welcome center

Clean restrooms and plenty of available parking right off interstate 80. Great place to take a break from long hours of driving and this place has vending machines as well.

Once nature starts calling on your adventurous drive, this may be the place you'll end up at. For a welcome center this place is outdated and the amenities are awful. This place isn't clean and it feels like youre in a 1950s time capsule. Hand driers weren't working. Overpriced vending machines with snacks that look expired.

Listed on highway sign as "Primary Iowa Welcome Center". It's bIg, beautiful and nice EXCEPT it only welcomes visitors Thursday through Monday. It's closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Open 9-5 Thursday through Monday.

The guy at the front desk was very nice and kind on greeting me as soon as I walked in. He provided me with information and guides here in Iowa. Only thing is, there are semi trucks everywhere. But must be a common thing and it's ok.

This is a very convenient stop, especially passing from Nebraska back to Iowa. There is plenty of parking and an area to let the dog get some stretching and a bathroom break as well. The bathrooms were very clean and the cleaning staff was super friendly. The grounds and facilities are well light and also bright and clean. Their vending machines are marked up like no other, but that's kind of what you expect at a rest stop.
