My wife and I recently dined at Ika San Ramen & Sushi and started with the Benson Bomb. This dish features chicharrones, crispy pork, onions, spicy mayo, daikon, and a sweet soy glaze. The combination of textures and flavors was delightful, with the crispy chicharrones complementing the tender pork and the sauces adding a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy notes. For the main course, I opted for the Spicy Fuego Ramen. Served in a rich paitan broth, it included chicken char siu, fried chicken skins, sriracha buffalo sauce, onsen tamago, negi, spicy rayu oil, and avocado. The broth was creamy with a pleasant heat, and the toppings provided a satisfying depth of flavor. The fried chicken skins added a unique crunch, and the avocado offered a refreshing balance to the spice. The staff at Ika San were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. They promptly seated us and provided insightful recommendations when asked. Our orders arrived in a timely manner, and the server checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed though I did have to ask for pop refills and a soup spoon. The restaurant boasts a modern and inviting atmosphere. The decor is contemporary, with tasteful lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. The ambiance strikes a balance between casual and chic, making it suitable for both casual outings and special occasions.Overall, Ika San Ramen & Sushi offers a delightful dining experience with its flavorful dishes, commendable service, and pleasant ambiance. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings.

You can never go wring with getting Ramen from Izakayz.... "I''m in Love with Mary Jane!"This place has some amazing combinations of tasty ramen dishes with very reasonable price.Definitely a favorite go-to for me, especially on these cold days..... staff is always very pleasant and very good at offering alternate options to compliment your order.

Chilly, windy nights call for warm and cozy RAMEN! Started off with the recommended menu items that our waitress said are their most popular. So like any ramen-rookie, we didn't go too far beyond our comfort zone for it being our first time ever... eating here. Fried Chicken Steam Buns: with HELLA HOT aioli that we were not prepared for. I mean I checked and double checked on the hot scale, and there wasn't any lil flame next to this starter! Personally I'm not a fan of dark meat (also didn't realize they used dark meat) so for me - along with the hella hot spread - it just knocked me off my game, and I wasn't into them allofasudden. Tempura coated, with a few leafs of color and one cucumber slice. Quite honestly if the bun and cucumber were sold as something, I'd be all over those!Fried Brussel Sprouts: I was *told* that they were VERY good, and the miso sauce definitely added to the dish. Kimchi bits were excellent! Personally... I have a love/hate relationship with "blackened" or "fried" brussels. For my pallet they're generally too salty and taste.. hella blackened, but plenty for a few folks to share between themselves.Miso (light pork broth): we generally share the entrees, and so glad we did. It's a TON of broth, corn, avocado, egg, green onion, ramen, and shredded crispy pork shoulder. Right amount of spice, extremely filling, well balanced flavors, and I'm almost positive eating it with a fork, is some sort of sin. I know it! I'm curious to try the other one she recommended, the Tonkostu (rich pork broth). Thanks to the buns' aioli earlier, I was struggling to enjoy the ramen thanks to having just singed all 10K of my tastebuds OFF.

This photo is supposed to be Tonkatsu Ramen. Nevermind the fact they spelled it Tonkotsu, that isn't Tonkatsu. It's pork belly...maybe, but it was over cooked and hard to chew. The green stuff is some sort of seaweed, but hard to chew and extremely bitter. Maybe some steaming would fix that. The broth itself was...not pleasant. I'm fairly certain is was just chicken broth and a bunch of sesame oil. It was very flavorless otherwise and left an oily residue in my mouth. The only part with flavor was the egg, which was saturated in what tasted like a miso base. I've been trying to find a good Ramen place after living in Japan for a decade or so, but this is not it.I did enjoy their green tea though.

Damn i love me some ramen. I can certainly make it myself or have my wifes daughters husband who is Vietnamese make up some pho. this was some damn good ramen! the pictures obviously show you the ingredients. it had everything in there it should to make it so good. My wife and me showed up shortly after the business opened so it was slow and we sat at the Bar proper! Staff was friendly but and when i got that sake that i knew would be pricey they said hey thats xx's dollars are you ok with that. which is pretty cool because sometimes you never know how much something will be inflated. The ambience of the place was pretty cool. had high ceilings, too many lucky cats to count and some Yu-Gi-Oh on the TV's haha! I cannot wait to go back and for the place being in a 'mall' i was damn impressed! I wore my best Dragon Ball Super shirt as is tradition.

We ate outside as it was nice out there. Sever didn't clean off the table for us. So we used our napkins. Ordered Mary Jane with rice noodles. 90% noodles. No joke. Very little substance of anything. Shrimp poke came with a lot of rice abs VERY little anything else. Other 2 bowls of ramen were good though. Spicy miso was good but as with the theme very little meat.

Quite a few changes at Ika. No longer serving sushi, not sure if it was a supply or help issue, but be aware. Really miss that. A large turnover in staff and management as well. For those who have been coming for sometime, very few familiar faces left.Ramen and Rice Bowls remain very good. My favorite is the Miso Ramen (light pork broth with crispy pork shoulder, ajitama (a ramen egg), negi (long green onion), roasted corn, shoga and avocado. Very tasty. Wife loves the Don Chingon Rice Bowl with carne asada, esquites (corn), negi, salsa verde and fried rice - delicious. We also thoroughly enjoy the Steam Buns with shredded pork as an appetizer. As I mentioned earlier, not many original faces on the server side, but we were delighted to see our favorite waitress; Nicole was still there. Nicole is very friendly, customer focused and she knows the menu inside and out. Her recommendations are always good. Next time you go, see if she is working and ask to be sat at her table.Overall a really good meal with great service. Really miss the sushi though. If you haven't had the opportunity to check out Ika, be sure and put it on your list to visit. Enjoy!

This was my first time at this location for ika ramen, so I had high hopes. The staff were welcoming, kind, and timely taking care of us. The restaurant felt more of a fast casual restaurant, and was very open. I tried the Galbi, which I have never had before, and overall thought it was just ok. The rice was slightly undercooked and the meat was slightly over cooked. The overall flavor of the meat, cucumbers, and sauce was really tasty and full of umami. I definitely will have to give this place another go to see if I can find something else that may be more my speed. Overall still recommend this restaurant.

This is an interesting take on a ramen and izakaya spot. It has a hip youthful vibe with graffiti lining the concrete walls, industrial piping, and Japanese style decor and cartoons playing on the flat screens. While ordering, a few of the dishes on the menu were sharpied out and the server informed us that an additional few dishes and ingredients weren't available. I ordered pork buns and miso gochujang ramen. The pork buns were delicious but a little overpriced. The ramen lacked some ingredients and I expected a little better. The ground beef was a little bit clumpy and the noodles just had the texture of instant noodles.Overall I would come back just because the atmosphere, the friendly servers, and the food overall are good.
