This is the kind of shop that we remember, before the huge home improvement stores appeared.Well, good, local, helpful places STILL exist. We came in here, got exactly what we were looking for, a galvanized metal bucket, and also we walked around looking at all kinds of other things that we didn't need at the moment. There will always be The Next Project so I'll probably be back.I definitely am planning to come back and have them cut me a new house key.Somehow this review seems like it's almost a Country/Western song. Maybe THAT's my Next Project.

Had a leaking pipe on an older home (1890) that I spent a sometime at Home Depot trying to piece something that would work. Didn't have what I needed. Went to a plumber store and they said they couldn't help me either. They suggested Ideal Harware & window repair as a a longshot that they might be able to help. I showed Scott what I had and it took him all about 30 seconds to find the parts I needed. So, grateful. It goes to show you that a courteous and experienced staff in this business is the way to go! Highly recommended for you hardware needs. Would have saved me 2 hours of running around if I knew about them. That's why I will tell everyone about them. Thank you again Ideal Hardware and window repair!

What an amazing store! I needed help decoding a plumbing issue, and although it was more complicated than I was expecting, John walked me through a variety of options and things to look at for my project. They weren't able to sell me anything at the time (nor did they try), but they did provide great guidance in a non-rushed and very pleasant way. Thanks for the assist and I can't wait to actually spend some money with you.

This is a straight-up old school hardware store, crammed full of quality merchandise, and employees who actually know what they're doing. They probably even have a dirty old white Mister Coffee coffee maker, with styrofoam cups nearby, sitting somewhere in the store. This is a good store.

It's nice to be able to go to an old school hardware store vs big box. They have things that ate hard to find. I've also had great success with their rescreening broken windie screens & replacing glass I'm storm windows.

They were recommended to me by a man in the plumbing department at Home Depot when they weren't able to help me with a faucet handle. Scott helped me find what I couldn't find at 4 different hardware stores. He was very knowledgable and helpful. The store's not pretty but they know their stuff and this old lady really appreciated them being there.

Nice selection. A decent place to go as long as you avoid the blonde lady who yells at everyone, customers and employees alike! She is obviously impaired, and smelled like alcohol last time we were there in June. Now we go elsewhere for our repairs.

I'm updating my review. I had issues my first visit, so I gave them a second chance. I normally don't give second chances. I took a screen frame down to have a new one made. They said it would be 3 days, I dropped it off in the morning and they called me at 1700 the same day to tell me it was done. I'll be using this place more often. They rectified my first visit with exceptional service the second time.
