Don't know why every review is negative!! This place was great, they helped me find the perfect sewing machine for me! I may have spent a little more than I expected but I sure have gotten what I've paid for! I now have a new fantastic brother sewing machine! The inside of the shop was clean and organized, they even honored my yelp coupon even though they thought it wasn't available anymore! (Which, it's technically not supposed to be available, so don't try to redeem it.) But everyone was extremely nice. Out of 3 staff members, only 1 of them wore a mask. Only 2 staff members were out on the floor at a time, so the third didn't have contact so I didn't think it was a big deal she wasn't wearing a mask. Everyone who entered the store as a customer did have a mask on, which was nice to see. Again, I don't know why this has such negative reviews! I had a great experience!

I'd taken my new Brother sewing machine to another repair place, but All he did was rant about what junk the new machines were, and tell me I'd bought a P. O. S. and was out of luck. On a whim I then went to Husker sew and Vac. What a dramatic difference! The owners were knowledgeable about my machine, they taught me several things that are very helpful, and they fixed my machine right there on the spot! AND- they only charged me $5!! Five bucks! Fantastic ! Especially since the other guy essentially advised me to toss it in the trash. I've been back several times since to purchase supplies and I'll go again in the future. They have my business for life!

Slow and expensive. Get a detailed estimate before dropping off something. $230 dollars to repair a $300 vacuum is crazy. Plus it took months to get it back. Had to buy a new vacuum as we couldn't wait forever to get ours back from this place.

I wouldn't give this shop my business if I owned a sewing machine. And I rather buy a new vacuum then ever deal with the rudeness my family recieved today. The owner/manager of the shop kept calling my home asking for a Darrel and Judith. Well there's a Darrel here but not Judith. Was told this on multiple occasions when calling. Then proceeded to tell my husband and my son the internet doesn't lie! Told my husband to teach our kids to answer the phone properly! Well sir you need to listen as an adult and the first time you are told someone don't live here you should probably accept that answer instead of calling and harassing my home phone multiple times. I'm sure the proper owners would love to know you're just going to throw their sewing machine in the trash because you didn't get the proper information when they dropped off said product and you trusted the internet to give it to you! Not my families fault you lack in getting proper information! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!

Took my machine that I did not purchase from them, service was excellent! My machine was back with me sooner than I expected in great working shape! I can't say enough praise for the way I was treated and the quality of their work!

I can now see why they have such poor reviews. My machine was taken in to have a spool threader replaced, only the stem from the threader was broke, the rest of the threader was intact. When dropping it off at the counter, the assistant tugged at the piece and broke it off. Unaware, I thought that it needed replaced anyway and wouldn't affect anything else. When I picked up my machine, I noticed the handle wouldn't go down all the way as before. THEY DRILLED A HOLE IN MY NEW MACHINE AND PUT IN A BIG BOLT TO PLUG THE HOLE, preventing the handle from lying down flat. There are visible plastic shavings to be seen inside and something rattling now within. Their claim is, this was the only way to replace the horizontal threader. (That they broke but deny). They never bothered to tell me about it, I discovered it after getting home and planning to sew. This machine is less than a year old and now has permanent, visible damage caused by inept people that do not know how to repair things properly. Not to forget, their rudeness should not go unremarked.

I've been in this shop several times and found the people there to be the most helpful and friendly anywhere in the area. I drove 50+ miles to have them service my sewing machines. They're talented, competent and spend the time to explain what I need to know. Theirprices are competitive with other shops in the Omaha/Lincoln area. Highly recommendthem.

Either completely incompetent at best or lying cheats at worst. I have a dyson vac that was not working properly and dyson had me bring it to Husker sew and vac. Husker sew and vac said the brush was broken and that it was not under warranty. The brush was not broken--it's on the bottom of the vacuum and you can see it. I called and complained to dyson and was sent to another dyson service shop in Omaha. The Omaha shop said the clutch was broken and that was under warranty! I think they were trying to get money out of both dyson and me to fix my vacuum. Not the kind of service I expected from a local business.

Very poor service. Told me I would need the complete model of the vacuum to get a belt. I look up for the model number, and discover there is exactly one of this vacuum made. Also, the markup up for them was over 100%. Belts were $3,29 thru Eureka and $6.99 thru Husker Sew Vac. Will certainly never see my business again.
