Hunan Chinese Restaurant

The "New" Hunans is very good. It was sad how the previous owners had drug it down, but the new owners and new menu have brought it back to a go to place. Menu is totally new, with several new dishes. Beef, chicken and shrimp, no pork at all. Crab rangoons some of the best we have had.Steamed rice includ, fried rice 1.50 up charge.

I went there for dinner on March 10, 2022. The worst Chinese Food in town. I'm Asian and I can tell you the food tasted awful. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I give a one star for service efforts.

Beth and myself in today's lunch buffet. Had been a while since last here. Maybe our imagination or something else, but... was a different smell in air upon entering front door, and all foods had a slightly 'off' taste. Sorta like a dirty dishrag. Nearly every bite. We do not plan any return for a long while. And maybe this same reason why we've not been back for nearly a year.

This restaurant USED TO BE so good. I went there today and I was so disappointed!! First off the selection of main entrees and soups decreased from two steam tables to one. Second, the entrees all tasted the same. It tasted pasty and processed. Where is all of the homemade meats and amazing sauces? Where is the wonton soup? Crab Rangoons? Please, they were tiny, chewy, pieces of cardboard with no filling. The egg rolls had the same disgusting processed taste as all of the entrees. I don't know, maybe they hadn't changed their fryer oil in a year. At a buffet I can find something to eat usually. We tried entree after entree with utter disgust. As one plate of disgusting food after another piled up on our table, a waiter stood and scowled at us instead of picking up the plates. We tried salvaging our $14.95 per person with soda and dessert. However, the desserts were processed cardboard brownies and cream puffs. A trip to the restrooms sealed the fate of this review. Why did they go down hill so much? Never Again!!

This is not the staple restaurant Kearney once had. Under new ownership, the food is nothing like it used to be and buffet is twice the price. The one thing they did well was ruin the name of Kearney's best places to eat.

Went there for a lunch daTe with my boyfriend. Their fried rice and the sesame chicken were both very yummy! My boyfriend tried a few different dishes and was disaapointed in the Lomein and a few others and the crab Rangoon were dry and didnt have a lot of car ream cheese or crab inside. The waiter was very poliite and quick though at seating us and bringing our drinks

Compared to what it was when the original owner had it, it is a shadow of it's former self. At this point it's been passed around so many times that the classic recipes are lost, and the new menu is just more boring mall food court Chinese. Sad to see how far the once best Chinese in town has fallen.

Hot Pot at Hunan is a Must Try!!! Amazing deal, awesome service and a great foodie experience in Kearney that you can't get any closer than Denver or possibly Omaha. Let's support this so we don't lose it!!!!

Went there with my boyfriend today, I had never been there he was there all the time as a kid and said it was really good but it had new owners so he didn't know if it would be the same. We ended up getting the buffet, the food tasted very bland and just wasn't good at all the buffet looked like it has been sitting out for a long time and wasn't very full ethier. We paid 33 dollars for food that was mostly likely old and was very bland. The best thing there was the pop. Ended up getting food poising too:( DONT go to this place!!!!!

Absolutely love this place for Chinese takeout! They are super quick and friendly and the quality of the food is always excellent. We come back again and again!
